BMW 330 e46 - Pics of Msport/Non Msport cars?

The Xenons won't be as easy to fit as you'd imagine because you still need to update the controller and add the auto light sensor/dial which is some work unless you manage to go a manual Xenon route!

A 325 is fine but that one isn't one I'd call a well looked after example really, surely you can search a bit further out nationwide and if you see one you like make travel arrangements? post here of course :p

Yeah I suppose, it's just been so much hassle trying to find a well looked after one these days, and the ones that are go for 8k+ :( from now on though I shall post each one I'm going to test drive on here before I actually make the journey.

Funny, it was pennies difference for everyone I know that quoted on a 330 between the age of 21-25.

Serious?! For me it's almost £300 difference!! That's just been quotes through direct line, maybe I should scout others I just assumed they would quote me the average and then I'd shop around once I found one...

You already have wheels? Not fake mv2's?

Nah I don't like the look of them, I bought a pair of 19" M6 AC Schnitzer replicas (the black and chrome ones which are sort of hexagon shaped inside if you know which ones I mean) and a pair of 18" M6 ACS replicas off ebay about a year ago and it came to almost £700 without tyres. I bought them ages ago thinking I'd sell them on but when I saw them I decided against it as they do look absolutely stunning! My mates keep trying to buy them off me everytime they see them but I resist! Can't wait to get a car for them to go on... :D

Seriously, sell them to your idiotic mates.

1) Those wheels look nasty
2) Replica wheels are made of crap, will buckle, and are heavy. Awesome combination.
3) They will make your car look like the local chav emporium owns it.

Chill out, no need to insult my friends.

1) I like the look of them, but personal preference I guess.
2) They look good quality (even if they are not), they'll only buckle if I hit into something at pace (pot-holes, curbs...) which I'm sure I will be careful enough to avoid.
3) You should see the cars in my ends, even max power would be ashamed. The local Nova crew from my school days are still knocking around as well... and unfortunately I think I have unintentionally become slightly chavd due to environmental factors.

M6 reps on an E46?

Dude...

Yeah I know... but they're not just any M6 replicas, and they do look extremely nice. I do understand the critisism though :(

By the power of grey skull, don't do it :(

ha ha ha you joker! I can always sell them if they don't look right or it affects the driving, but I personally think they will look pretty good on a black coupe. I got a smaller size for the front so as not to affect the cars ability too much... was it a mistake? You guys are actually changing my opinion of them now, even though I've been waiting for almost a year to put them on a car... :(

M6 style wheels leave a huge gap in an E46 because the discs are so tiny it looks weak - you need suiting wheels!

Hmmm... true I suppose, but these are the ACS M6 wheels which have smaller gaps. I suppose we'll have to see what they look like in the flesh

Thats not a huge differenc compared to some of the costs this car could throw at you?

19's on an E46 thats not an M3 just look silly :( Please dont ruin a perfectly good BMW, too many people are doing this.

It's not too big a difference, but it does take it up to a grand which I don't really want to pay.

19's at the back though, 18 at the front... will it look too silly you reckon? Whenever I see 18's I always think they would look better an inch bigger, I don't know maybe it's the chav in me :(

Man, I've missed a few opportunities to sell them for quite a profit just because I thought they would look nice on MY zimmer when I get my next one, I'll fit them and then see what they look like, if they look too stupid you have my permission to cuss me down... but I still reckon they will look pretty decent, even if not on an M3.... or M6;)

If your budget is that tight can you afford to run one of these?

If you're reffering to me and not the OP then nah the budget aint tight, I just started a new very well paid job so I will definitely be able to afford to run it (and hopefully afford a new shape M3 next year... fingers crossed), it's just out of principle that I'm limiting my max price as I'm sure I can find a good one without paying more than it's worth.

If your buying an m3 next year why buy a 330 now and more than likely loose money on it?

Why not just wait 12months for an m3 to come along?

I'm after a 325 not 330, and hopefully if I buy right I won't lose much at all in a year as these cars seem to hold their value well and only really depreciate with the millage. I'm buying now as I'm tired of borrowing my mums/dads/brothers/sisters/friends car and plus, I miss having wheels of my own :(
