Just specced one up on Coast2Coast cars. Same spec - £28572 OTR.
Hmm maybe I'm doing something wrong but when I spec a 5 door auto with that spec as 29,491 with 7,459 saving.

[TW]Fox;30484813 said:So they'll be the lights 99% of them come with as nobody ever specs upgraded lights once you get either LED or Xenon as standard

Honestly I have no idea who would buy one now at the age they are without the protection of the cast iron BMW warranty, which is now very expensive on these.
Ask PMKeates on here about his £22,000 warranty claim only a couple of months ago.
The engines should be ok apart from the rod bearings which is around 15 hours work or less, these can let go without warning so you could replace them as a preventative measure.VTR;30484923 said:How much is the warranty on them now?
Are engine faults common then?

An M6 convertible has caught my eye.
What would the increased running costs be?

So far my 630i has cost me £800 a time for tyres, £300-£400 servicing at an independent specialist, average MPG of 27.
Mileage is around 12k a year.
Also looking at E400's although I think they may feel a step down. Pay has increased around £6k in the last few years so got a few quid extra to spend
