BMW and M Power Owners

Not sure what's worse. The fact you care about the kerb, or the fact you don't care about the ingrained brake dust which will also be as much a pain to remove.

I remember kerbing my rear alloy in the M5 at a petrol station pump island. I literally couldn't live with myself so that afternoon I purchased a new £800 alloy as you'd never get an exact match on my alloys. I feel your pain.

I cleaned it last weekend and do hundreds of mile to work and back hence the brake dust comment :) I've emailed a local company to get a price to repair asap... it's a pain but luckily it wasn't the bodywork ...

Just noticed that my M135i also has the extended storage package which is incredibly useful! £90 well spent. BMW didn't mention it on the AUC advert.

Interesting, just googled it and found it is this:

Babybmw said:
- the folding compartment which is basically a tiny glovebox on the right hand side of the steering wheel under the light controls.
- you will have 4 12v sockets in all, one in the boot, one in the back seats near the armrest, one under the glovebox, and the one in the centre console (there is a thread on here about them)
- rear door pockets and storage nets are self explanitory
- you get a net for the boot which is worth around £40 on its own if i remember right (its quite useful) and you also have the eyelets for this to fit into which you dont get as standard
- plus the 2 cup holder tray

Seems I also have this! Definitely have the 'mini glovebox', the 12v sockets and the nets, one is even brand new in the bag. Not sure what the 2 cups holder tray thing is? I just have cup holders...

EDIT: Just found it's this:

Don't have this, but I want one it!

It's useful for me personally as the remote to my underground parking also fits perfectly in the second slot! :)

Anyone know why the 530e doesn't get remote parking in the UK? As all the other G30 models do and the 530e gets it elsewhere in the world.

Always assumed it came as standard with the display key and driving/parking packs.

My 2016 F31 320d popped up with a yellow "Drivetrain" message on Sunday just after leaving the house. The full message said "Drivetrain - Drive moderately. Maximum drivetrain output not available. Have the system checked by your service centre".

Power was reduced but other than that it felt, sounded and behaved totally normally. I reached my destination, then set off home about 90 mins later and it was back to normal. Completed a journey yesterday and it was also absolutely fine. From some googling it looks like this is a bit of a "catch all" error message for any number of faults or potentially a false alarm. Check control says "no faults".

I think I should still get it checked - does anyone know if it's possible for BMW to remotely diagnose via Connected Drive or will I need to take it in?

Was it low on fuel?

Had the same message before because I floored it with an indicated 10 miles left in the tank. Technician said it was that. Not had any issues since.
