BMW and M Power Owners

Pretty sure it'll be the amp which has failed.

There's another weird thing that's happening, I just fitted an RCA adapter to the head unit and it's playing the music but every twenty seconds (worth bearing in mind it's exactly every twenty seconds) the music cuts out for a split second.

Would that align with the amp being knackered or suggest something else?

Winning!

You guys have to manually set this yourself? Even my lowly Skoda will do it automatically based on the GPS location. That's winning! Surprised BMW haven't done something similar.

That is quite clever, fortunately, BMW lights nowadays are so trick and advanced they don't need to be altered at all (via iDrive or GPS). They are just a flat beam

Their Slogan is "Simply Clever" but then they do silly things like putting an ice scraper behind the fuel flap door, which freezes shut in winter. Not particularly Clever!

Didn't know the flat beam was "a thing" but pretty cool it just works everywhere as is!

Falken tyres and the brake disks don't look great in the photo

Cheers, have been looking at the car on my phone, just had a look on my laptop and all 4 disks are badly scored. I'll still go to see the car, didn't realise that Imperial are a car supermarket so no reduction in price I assume so I'll have to make sure that any issues they are willing to sort out as part of the price.

The E46 still has plenty of go in her:

Far quicker than expected and only my 2nd run of the day, 60FT was 2.15s which I can improve on, a 2.1 dead will see car into 12's at over 110mph which is not bad for an E46 M3. :)

Hi, couple of bits on my 640D that are really bugging me and i wondered if anyone can confirm whether they are 'normal' or whether they are issues that need sorting:
  1. When the wipers are on auto' they never return fully to the bottom of the screen when resting but instead always sit about 2cm above their normal stopped position. Should this be happening??
  2. When my phone (iPhone 6S) is connected to the audio (Bluetooth or USB) and I select a new track or artist it takes around 5 secs before the new track plays.
Minor niggles in what is otherwise a fantastic car but it would be good to hear the experiences that others have of this.

Thanks.

I think 1 is normal, my X3 does this but when I switch off the auto function (or the ignition, can't remember which) the wipers go back way down to the normal off position.

Seems a bit pricey. My 6 Series is up for £102 more :D

I decided not to go in the end, I think the knackered discs and budget tyres would have meant me wanting to spend more money to get them sorted. Sent them an email and they just said it had passed all safety inspections.

If you're interested in my 6 series for £102 more, happy to discuss it :)
