It's a ornament anyway. Thing never gets driven. He is like me, rather just use van to go places even if it doesn't involve work.

Yea, i can imagine popping into town in a van is way better than doing it in a 3 Series
It is.
How is a van better for general use than a car?
It's harder to park, less comfortable and worse to drive?
Usually a sign of not affording the fuel (in addition to tyres)

Can pull out in front of people, drive like an arse and park wherever you want. I think he's on to something...
My 520D F11 is slidy enough at times in the rain with decent tyres on. God forbid an M3 with cheap tyres.Jeez, I can only imagine how skittish that M3 is with lolfly tyres on it. I guess it's lucky it never gets driven.
Great presumption lol.
Why else would you put crap tyres on ?
Why waste what must be at least £15,000 on a car if it does so little for you you'd genuinely rather just take a van out at the weekend?
Bizarre.
The thing that surprised me most when I first got mine was how easy it is to spin the rear wheels on a greasy surface during an overtake. It is scary, even with Michelin PS2's which aren't bad tyres.
The Hifly tyres cost £54 each - they must be phenomenally bad. Goodyears which are a performance bargain cost £140 ish, CSC6's cost about £160 each and MP4S cost around £190 each.
