My car came up with an oil level at minimum, topup when you can so as I was passing a dealer near Bracknell I popped in and asked if they could top it up as I had the service pack. Caused mucho confusion with a lot of toing and froing but obliged in the end.

It's amazing how this always seems to happen given oil topups have been a part of the service pack since the dawn of time itself.
 
Guys, I'm cursed.

Dynamic Damping Control Failure :(

As soon as I got off the motorway after an 80mile commute this morning it flagged up and the car feels old school with no damping.

Just got her back after spending a load on an oil service, rear tyres/brakes/discs :(

Dilemma: Do I take the car all the way back to Birmingham to the garage who replaced my suspension and everything about a year ago, or do I take it to this garage a few miles away from where I am who I trust to do a good job.

Could any warranty on the parts be claimed by a different garage somehow?

The Birmingham garage. Obviously, they gave you some kind of warranty right? Hopefully more than 12 months, if so, then it's a no brainer as they'd sort it for free

I had rear air suspension failure - they replaced:

2xDampers
2xShockAbs
2xAirSprings
1xAirComp
1xRelay
1xFuse

Potential electrical component in the dampers gone maybe?
 
BMW telling me my Inspection II is due in March and will probably also need to replace spark plugs (why/how can they know that?), but I thought they moved to condition based servicing :confused: 2011 E93.

It is condition based but on the E9x series it works like this:

Every two years or 16700 miles (+/- 3000 depending on how the car is driven, this is the CBS), whichever first occurs.

First service (at two years old or on mileage) is Oil, Oil Filter, Microfilters.
Second service (at four years old or on mileage) is Oil, Oil Filter, Microfilters, Spark Plugs (or Fuel Filter if diesel), Air Filter.
Thereafter it alternates between the minor and major scopes of work.
There is also a vehicle check inspection (icon is of the car up on ramps) which is due infrequently.

If you fiddle with the stalk button (or go into iDrive, if you have that) you will find a service menu that tells you what is due and when.

M3 are probably a bit different, shorter intervals and the run-in service at 1200 (cannot exceed 2000).
 
I was driving home from work last night and a rock hit one of the panels near the left rear wheel arch :( Images below:

Excuse the extremely dirty car.

No dent or crack, just a scratch. I think the part near the arch could probably be polished/buffed out, but the main bit about an inch long is down to the primer by the looks of it. Best/most affordable way of dealing with this? BMW smart repair or a specialist of some sort?
 
Got round to ordering an Android unit to replace my 6.5 inch screen. Works fantastically wel, can swap from the android to NBT with a press of the button. Installed Waze and a few other apps straight off the bat. Boots up just a few seconds slower than the standard software.

A week later after the dealership said there's a hold on my car due to a rear tail light issue, I still have no further info and nor do they it seems.

Thanks, really helpful advice. Yep the computer shows it but just says vehicle inspection. They’ve quoted £566 for the inspection and £251 for the spark plugs (excl VAT).
