BMW and M Power Owners

Looks good, didn't realise RHD where out so early, dealers seem to barely have them over here.

Not sure I like the blacked out kidneys it seems a bit weird on the car.

I wasn't a fan of the black, thankfully that is actually an added option. The standard is chrome surround.

ok so i did get my idrive updated...
my adaptive suspension used to make a clunking noise occasionally when going over humps at 10-15mph.
new/updated software seems to have solved the issue, and comfort mode now makes the whole car barge-like and way softer.
i'll have to try sport mode when i go to work in a bit.

What colour is it and what options did the car come with? Looking on the positive, great engine as others have stated and you also now have 3 years to get the dealer to fix squeaks and rattles as they develop and redevelop :)

Sorry for the late reply :)

Colour: Melbourne Red Metallic - appears to be a love it or hate it colour?

Spec (pasted from a free vin decoder, so sorry for the spam):

Most likely not to everyones taste, but I liked the colour combo and so far can't complain about the looks or drive.

Nice interior but I can’t believe electric memory seats aren’t standard by now - essential imo if you share the car with anyone else.
It's standard practice across the higher end manufacturers - they only fit new tech as standard when the absolutely need to, otherwise it's on the options list.
Check out the options on £100k+ Range Rovers, Porsches, Bentley's etc... You need spend a few thousands spec'ing up the base spec to the level which comes standard on cheap super mini's.

Nice car. Lot of love for Melbourne Red right here. A manual 140i with a nice spec in that hue would suit me quite well, but I can't justify two nearly-new cars at once, really!

Because I like a manual gearbox on a small point and squirt type of car. I know it's not as outright fast as the ZF8 automatic, and BMW manual transmission may not be the best in the world, but I quite enjoyed the manual gearbox on the BMWs I've had in the past. Most recently N55 335.

Stupid question time, again. My rear pads will need changing soon according to the MOT tester, so should I wait until the warning comes on or somebody has pointed out that I could change them before the wear sensor trips which would save on the cost of the sensor?

Is the above a done thing or should the sensor really be replaced whenever the pads are replaced?

You should really replace it anyway. I had issues with the one on our mini where it kept throwing up alerts.

Lovely colour that, nice specification too although whilst I appreciate you like manuals I’d have still gone for the automatic, the manual as you say isn’t the best whereas the automatic arguably is.

He did do go for the automatic, Sport Automatic transmission is right there in the list of options.
