BMW and M Power Owners

What's going on with those two funky-looking boxes, in addition to the normal intakes? I think that engine bay is above my pay grade :D

Lovely car though. I'm not sold on the wheels but I know what you mean with them being 'OEM'.

The metal boxes front centre? Those are the air/water intercoolers for the intakes.

Hi Robbo, cheers. I guess my only worry/thought would be going for a diesel, we'd be doing no more than 10k miles a year. That sort of spec is almost precisely what we would be looking for though!

It wouldn't really worry me, that engine is nice and versatile and will give you a bit more choice. I'd just be sure to give it a long run now and again if possible.

As least the 320i has the decency to shut up when going about it's business which the 4 cylinder diesel does not. Combined with a car that was never particularly refined in the first place and the 320d isn't a very compelling prospect unless your mileage is very high.

I don't need something that is going to set the world alight  I appreciate looking at a diesel would give me more choice but considering our mileage I'd rather hold out for a 320i!

long live a proper 320i / petrol6 BMW E36 320i Fast Driving on Mountain Road

We'll probably keep the Fiesta and looking to purchase a larger family car, budget of up to £17k. Do about 9/10k miles a year (but potentially up to 15k if I end up driving to the office once things open up again). We've been looking fairly seriously at a 4 Series GC but is this going to be too 'sporty' for wrangling children in the back? I think we're both fairly sold on the idea of having a hatch, we both cycle a lot and the benefit of just being able to chuck a bike in the back of a car with one seat down is ideal. Also looking at a 3 series touring but I think my wife is terrified of how 'massive' an estate would be, it's not like we live in a hugely busy city but I do appreciate her concern of going from a small car to an estate.
got to be the 3 GT for rear, 5 series size, child cabin space. -> https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202105222938748
