BMW and M Power Owners

I'm sure you would, but the reality when buying a used BMW is that such cars are sufficiently rare that finding them, especially in the colour combination you want, is very difficult. When you do, there is then a high chance the dealer thinks its worth a huge amount more than the rest of them on sale, so you either need to pay a large premium or wait 5 months until they get fed up of seeing it sitting in the showroom and finally begin to accept reasonable offers. Buying a used car is always a compromise and never is this more the case than when picking the exact combination of optional extras you want.

It's not like an M5 doesn't have a high specification as standard, is it?

Yeah that's my thinking, it has virtually everything I'd want as standard. Massage seats would be lovely but it's not a deal breaker, and as you've said, the colour combination I want, Brands Hatch Grey with Silverstone/Black Full Merino Leather, nowhere has that option currently :D

Yeah, the Comp replaced the normal M5 I believe.

The standard spec is very good, I looked at a couple recently. My current 7 has massaging seats and they are nice but not a deal breaker. It's something that will always be rare on most cars of any brand, so if you make it a 'must have' you'll always struggle to find cars with it.

One thing to bear in mind if its a couple of years old, it may have been used as a work car by an aggressive director, and may not have been cared for. :p Make sure you see the car in person as dealers will always say its mint.

Berry Croydon have one with the comfort and visibility packs but it is in Alvite Grey.

Yeah I saw that one, really nice and actually like that grey but it has the full piano black trim which I don't like, coming from a car with piano black, I know how easily it marks and scratches

I've only used the massaging seats a few times. But I use the Cooling function a lot.
I’m not buying new and the ultimate pack is rare as rocking horse **** on used cars. 90% of cars I see on used approved are standard spec with maybe massage seats or visibility pack and that’s it

Thats my Bad. Thought it was new you were looking at..
Cant believe its 2023 already...............
There were a few at dealers when I was looking Went to have a look at one in sheffield but I didn't fancy "Nardo grey" with black interior.

Put a deposit on this today, been on the hunt for one in the right colour with the right spec for a few weeks - 2021 M340i MHT Touring in Dravit Grey. I haven't seen the car in the flesh yet but the colour combo was right, the spec is well..........better than any other examples I had my eye on and the mileage at 19k reasonable.

Spec wise, it seems to have had almost everything chucked at it by the first owner. Shadowline Plus, Technology Plus, Comfort Plus, Visibility Pack and pano roof. Also has extended leather and I love the red........might not be to everyone's taste though I suppose. I think it has carbon trim too. I'm undecided on the Shadowline thing, I've never been a huge fan of black alloys but if I'm honest I think they actually look okay with the Dravit Grey.

I'm quite excited about it :D , looking forward to seeing it in the flesh. Couple of photos from the dealer advert:-

How much did you get it for @Draeger? Saw it up for £48k but as you say, some people (including me) aren’t fans of the red leather :D

I didn't haggle, happy to pay the asking price which I thought compared to the others available for sale was pretty spot on :) - It's my preferred colour, mileage is reasonable and the spec is higher than a couple of others that were on my shortlist. The Tourings with high spec and in strong colours seem to be getting snapped up within days of being advertised so I decided to just strike quickly in case I missed out.

I hear what you say about the red leather, absolutely each to their own - its not to everyone's taste but I love it. As -Ad- said though, still not sure about the glossy black wheels. I'll see how I get on with them, wouldn't cost much to have them redone in a different colour.

Did you not consider ordering a new car now the discounts are back?

Sort of, but (and I know this might sound weird) I am not keen on the LCI one piece touchscreen dash thingy or the fact they have seen fit to remove the auto gear stick and replace it with a little square lever thing :D . I don't think my budget would quite stretch to an LCI with the spec I was after.

The interior is fantastic on that car - it even has the rare full option (There are actually 3 levels on the M340i) which includes the doors as well as the seats.

I didn't realise there were three levels. In fact I didn't even realise that the leather in this one was extended until I read the spec in more detail and looked at it properly. I just liked the red :D

Not a massive fan of grey, but it does look good with the extended Fiona red, which is just beautiful. Seems a solid spec too. Enjoy @Draeger !
(wait until you kerb the wheels before changing the colour) :D
