BMW and M Power Owners

The only time I've had any issues is with very new roads,
I could understand a new road (or new restrictions) being unknown by the satnav for a while but that missing road in the screenshot i posted above has probably been there for 100 years.
Once I've updated the map, I'll have to see if the road has reappeared and if it now has any awareness of city roads that are either dead ends or where cars are not permitted. it's previously attempted to send me down roads where it's clear from the signage that cars have not been permitted for years. On one trip out of london on a friday night, it did this on 4 occasions and had to switch it off and get my wife to direct me on her ipad.

When I bought the car (used) last year, I kind of assumed that all these sort of problems had been sorted out in a 2018 car.

Guys I’ve got the new 330e touring on order.

I went for the Msport pro pack, the tech pack and comfort pack.

I’ve just been told by a friend however that BMW have recently removed the wonderful adaptive suspension from the Msport pro pack due to semi conductor issues. Literally just taken it off.

I’ve not heard this from the horses mouth of course.

Does anyone know anything about this?

I’m waiting to hear back from the dealer but obviously this would be hugely disappointing

I ordered a 530d at Christmas, which was delivered on 02 March 2023. I had specified the adaptive suspension as part of the Msport Pro Pack and the car arrived without it - BMW never said anything.

Supplying dealer checked with BMW UK and, sometime in Jan/Feb, BMW decided to stop fitting adaptive suspension to all 5 series cars, due to the chip shortage. I don't know if this applies to other models. If you try and order a 5 series now, adaptive suspension no longer comes up as an option on the configurator.

My dealer, who has been really good so far, is going to let me try a 530d with the adaptive suspension tomorrow night, as I've never tried it, to see if it's everything it's cracked up to be.

Hmmmm one would assume the 3 is affected also perhaps - mind you i ordered mine on the 1st Nov 2022. Surely bmw would need to honour the agreed vehicle spec at the time of order??

Anyone want to share their views in this example:

Look a good spec, but not sure I’d buy a modified one. Or if I was going to MPPSK would be as far as I’d go. It’s not like they need more power.

Lovely colour too!

Spotted this yesterday aftering leaving car parked up on the road for a few days :(
I cant make my mind up whether it looks intentional or accidental

The bulk of it has came off with a clean but left about 10-15 small scratches and a couple big scratches so will need a respray

Hoping that the EVO 2023-1 map update improves the ability of the satnav to be able to figure out if I'm actually on a road (see screenshot) and to be able to properly calculate city routes. I've wasted a heap of time trying to following the satnav through London and Bristol.
e.g. "turn right" - no that's a dead end.
"turn left" - no that's buses only.

Frankly the satnav on my 2018 530d has been something of a cluster f disappointment.

I know where that is, it’s the road up to the Odessa from Tredington right? It’s definitely there on my nav, amazing its not there on a 2018 car.

You sure you haven't driven up against a fence or something.

Can't see how that could be caused by a second moving object. It's also too low for anything you can think of.

If you can do without rear doors, you can get an M4 for £25k if you shop around.
I need the rear doors unfortunately. Two kids who need seats.
And I refuse to go backwards and need to move seats to allow kids into a car. I'm not a teenager any more.

Fair, that's why I went for the M3, plus I prefer the looks with the flared rear arches. Unfortunately, they command a higher premium.
I did look at the 3series.
But found the space lacking vs the grand coupe.
My kids seats are rear facing, so end up taking substantially more room than others.

I was still able to be comfortable in the drivers seat with one of the kids seats behind me in the 4GC

I have some eibach springs that should be for a 1 series, I'm trying to find out which ones they are but am not having much luck with the part numbers:

KBA91389/91390
112003102VA

And

KBA 91389
1122003001HA

Does anyone have any ideas?
