BMW and M Power Owners

I would absolutely not be changing the suspension but this isn't as simple as just rejecting it and getting something else.

This is one of the last of these cars ever to be produced - there will be no more. What is the alternative?
As @[TW]Fox says, BMW are no longer making the 530d, so its a choice of finding a suitable replacement out of whats left from unsold cars in the UK, or keeping what I've got.
I've found two new cars this morning which would be suitable and sent the details to my dealer.
Is the brand new unregistered car with adaptive not the obvious answer? Or is it missing other gear? I wonder why that one has it.
Unfortunately, this car is missing the sunroof and hud, which I don't want to be without.
Definitely don't change the suspension on a new car - BMW will find a way to void the warranty on anything related to it.

Equally, don't settle for it.

Why not get a car which is a year old or so with it as an option?
It's not something that I would do whilst the car is still under warranty.
I started looking around for a 6-12 month old used car but quickly realised that the sweetspot was in a new car.

Would ATE branded brake discs be considered OEM quality?
They are the OEM on various models, just won't have the stamp on them or whatever but ultimately the same item just retail packaged. ATE make the exact same disc for the M3 for example, but other OEM brands are also used depending on model year, same specs and everything, just various OEM brands making them.

Cheers.

It's a decision between ATE discs or Brembo ones. £220 vs £130 for 335mm discs. That's for the pair.

Has anyone had good experiences with Brembo discs via Euro car parts?

I found recently that it's cheaper to get the discs/pads from dealer/dealers on eBay, ask for a discount. If it's for the Mini JCW I got a pair of OEM discs for £200

What do you mean by sweet spot? :)
As in best value for money.

I placed my order just before Christmas and the deal on offer (discount, deposit contribution, low %apr) gave me a brand new car, to me ideal specification< with a monthly pcp payment close to or less than the finance I was being quoted for a 6-12 month old used car.
I discovered that with BMW finance, the %apr is lower for new than used and it varies depending which model range your interested in.

Ah I see

Does your bank not offer PCP?

It’s definitely a predicament though.

The prices some dealers are asking for nearly cars are the same and in some cases more expensive than the price you can achieve after discount for a new car. As well as this, the finance rate on new cars is typically considerably lower than it is on used cars.

Unless you really need a car right now or you want some sort of combination of options and engine which is no longer available new, it's difficult to see any value in the nearly new cars. They are so expensive compared to the price of just ordering a new car.

Hi, Well after a long time admiring them, I'm switching allegiance again from Audi, to my first BMW in New Zealand....

I've been a long time fan of the 6 series Grand coupe, and i've had my eye on a particular one here since December. It's a 2013 640i in carbon black, with 20" wheels, It was up for $36000 back in December, it's a Japanese import with a grade 4.5/5 (Near immaculate) with 78k ( almost 50k miles)kilometers on it. The interior and the bodywork are in pristine condition too!
Recently, the price was reduced though to $29850 (Just over £15k), so I figured that it's in a price i'm happy to pay now, so went and put a deposit on it. I pick it up on Saturday or Monday.

So, here's my new daily...
