BMW and M Power Owners

That would be a lovely 650 if it wasn't for the horrible looking wood inserts.

tbh though, if I was gonna spend 15k on a BMW, I would most likely go for a335i coupe/convert, stunning looking machines right there.

I like everything but the colour :( White = transit van to me.

Haha, i see your point of view - hence why i said it's not everyones taste!

I have come from having both silver and black in the past, and i vowed not to have either of those as the colour of my next car.

I do like the new revision of the Estoril Blue, but white just pipped it for me personally - and i got such a good deal i couldn't really turn it down!

However, I personally do not understand the fact that white actually carries a premium price tag :S

Car looks great, I wish I knew more about the sportier models BMW do because everything I look at is either a boring turbo diesel circa 200bhp or an M3 etc.
I see a lot of other models being mentioned and there are obviously a lot more performance options than just the M range. Ideally I'd like a petrol coupe with at least 300 horses, not fussed if auto and not a 1 series. Saw a horrid one today, was a 2012 plate something GT had a really weird rear end.

Hope you like :D

I do like, i like a lot.

Gotta echo what Fox said though - projectors especially with xenons immeasurably improve the front end of the car. I'm still trying to figure out why a big German manufacturer like BMW can't put projector lenses on a £45000 car, yet Hyundai can put them on their £12000 shopping trolleys.

Stuff like that annoys me, because even now you see old BMW's like the E34(?) 5 series with projector lenses, yet the new ones get horrible reflector lenses.

It's my big BMW bugbear, I've no idea why they do it. They design them with projectors and then delete them from the standard equipment list, most people won't even realise until they've ordered it without Xenons how it radically changes the front end look.

I just don't get it.

They then pick model ranges seemingly at random on which to offer projectors without Xenons (E60, E39, E53, E46 faceilift coupe/cab) or Xenons as standard fit across the range (E92, E93, LCI F10).

Should really be standard fit across the board imo. They can be made so cheaply these days you wonder if it's even worth their time designing and producing a separate light unit for halogens. Would only cost them a few quid more per car but heck you pay the extra on a BMW to have a premium car anyway.

You won't find a manual M6 either, at least you've got a slim chance of finding a manual 650i versus no chance with an M6.

I know, I don't get why we didn't the manual version and the Americas who love autos did

650 is a nice one to mod aswell, they put it in the X5 Lemans version 700bhp I think it was running, also afew years ago some chap brought a 650 to Gaydon show which was running something silly n/a sounded immense :D

Edit: actually that X5 was v12 powered which the guy put in his 6er, found a link

It's awesome, kudos for not ordering a 320d.

I have to ask though, all those options yet... no visibility pack?! Without it you get those horrible 318d style reflector lenses, the front of the F30 is made for Xenons :(

I concur with all that you are saying - considering my car was spec'd with High Beam Assistant, i wondered why they hadn't just gone for the visibility pack :(

I wonder if there will be an easy retrofit in the future? Probably at a huge cost!

Haha, that is a very nice picture - i need my mirror covers black now!!

Covered over 1500 miles in the 335i in the last 4 days around Europe and it was brilliant. Averaged exactly 31mpg which I think is good considering I did spent some time travelling to cities, plus I was staying up a 900m mountain which I had to climb every day up winding roads. Also did some extended blasts on the autobahn.

Noticed two annoying issues which I'm going to get the dealer to sort; the passenger side door hinge makes a loud click upon opening and there seems to be a small amount of movement in the hinge. I also noticed that the seal between the windscreen and pillar has lifted slightly which is causing wind noise.

Not sure but I think my headlight washers are playing up on my E90, from what I understand they work everytime you pull the stalk for the screen washers providing the lights are on? Mine only work once now until the ignition is turned off and then turned back on, not the best thing to do in an auto....... I cant actually recall using them for a while but now once you use them they just work the once. Oh and added to that my rear heated screen is taking an absolute age to demist, this morning although my front screen was frozen the back was only ever so slightly frosty, started the car and spent say 5-10 mins scraping the ice of mine and the wifes car, got in and drove to work which took about 20 mins and it still wasn't clear, looks like buying my bmw warranty is going to pay dividends

forgot to mention one of the washer nozzles doesn't retract properly also which is annoying :(

No, they work every 5 times you pull the stalk IIRC.

hmmm, I swear I tried them more than that, but will give it another go tomorrow

*edit* just been out and must have looked like a right fully star out swear words sitting pressing the washers waiting a few seconds and then pressing them again, did this about 12 times, covered my car in screen wash lol, but still the lights only washed the once, it does say something about set intervals in the handbook so maybe there is a timed delay between them? still narks me that one doesn't retract tho so will get that looked at along with a few other niggles
