BMW and M Power Owners

The dealers **** me off no end and it really puts a downer on the whole car owning experience then I drive the car again and it makes up for it so much...what an awesome car the 640d is, quick, quiet, comfy, lovely looking and has such a nice interior...I just want the dealer to not break 3 things every time it goes in to get one fixed :(

What's wrong with it now?

Most of your posts seem to be related to car issues!!

So they replaced the headlights last week as they were full of condensation which never cleared, since then the drivers side wash jet jams out on the bumper when it works and the alignment is out as well. Also got the wheel repair to do and the rebalance of all the wheels with weights that don't look they have been stuck on with blutak or playdough...

You need to find another dealer or move :)

I've sampled many BMW dealers across the country and always take mine back to Cov as they are much more respectful of the cars and the service is always impeccable. Once you find one you like, stick to it.

Might try them when mine is sorted with this lot, as basically the others near me are either useless or totally useless once they've sold you the car...

Having bought the Z4 and a stack of random little mods for it - the X6 needed some lovin'

Full polish up and attacked with a rotary for the first time - good results though.

Bonnet / reflection shot:

Are you using Wollaston Northampton?

I've found Lancaster Milton Keynes to be excellent in my dealings with them over the last 4 years.

I am finding it really difficult at the moment to find a manual E46 M3 LCI coupe that is not mega high mileage at a reasonable price. The market is flooded with rubbish cars priced at stupid money, or low mileage cars that are between £13-15k. I'm being picky and making heated seats a requirement, but am open to any colour as long as it's not silver or phoenix yellow.

The E46 M3 is steadily slipping away from a sound buying prospect, unless you find the "right one". Mrk's example is of course the exception to the rule it would seem.

I've been trawling through the classifieds for well over 12 months and nothing has made me want to bite the bullet.

I'm picky then too I guess!

Why would you care about it being LCI? It changed virtually nothing.

Aesthetically, not much. I think the 2005+ ones got a revised suspension, and perhaps CSL headers though?

I guess if it's a 2005/06 model then there's advantages with the 10 year goodwill period with BMW, regarding paintwork and the subframe. Of course that's quickly running out.

Welcome to my previous world :p

No doubt one will pop up but you gotta be at the right place and right time. I got really lucky with this example, and while it was not exactly cheap, it was the best example for the money and being a convertible, they do seem to command more money anyway especially with hardtop included.

The later years BMW did make revisions in and outside, a post on bimmerforums listed everything, I don't have it to hand but you'll no doubt find it on Google!
