BMW and M Power Owners

I just think it's made the car look less aggressive, the lines in the bonnet aren't visible any more, for example :( What engine size is it? Please say 5.0 :D

Actually the lines are more pronounced i think. My phone pics dont show it so well.

Its a 40d. So a 3 litre twin turbo diesel lol.

I'm looking at an E92 M3 (LCI) tomorrow. Anything in particular that I should be looking out for? It's at a main dealer so it will come with a warranty in any case, I still don't want to buy one which has been totally thrashed or will have endless problems however. I know that's difficult to tell sometimes!

The car has all the options I want but I haven't decided whether I really like 'space grey' and whether it suits the M3.

You're never going to be able to tell if a car has been thrashed unless you happen to know it's previous owner. Just buy a dealer car with a warranty and live in blissful ignorance of what the history of the car might be and just enjoy it with the peace of mind that if something does go wrong, you have the dealer warranty in place to set you right.

In my eyes the E92 looks fantastic in space grey, slightly understated, but elegant and has a lovely contrast against the LCI rear lights (full red leading in to grey).

I mentioned a few weeks ago I was getting my car wrapped and that most of you will hate it. Anyway, I like it, I'm happy with it and they did a good job on it. Was getting sick of the car having loads of stone chips and scratches - this sorted it for now and was cheaper than respraying it + fancied just trying it.

Matte Dark Grey + grills / vents etc all gloss black. Left the roof and window B pillar areas black.

Would look perfectly at home in Bradford :p Looks like they've done a good job anyway :)

Got my M3 back from the garage after a service and sorting out various issues. Couple of minor oil leaks (CPV and timing chain tensioner, both v common) still be to sorted. As soon as I get home the check engine light comes on :( :(

So the E93 335i is finally gone, for reference it sold for £12.5k, it was a 2007, good condition, huge spec and 72k miles.

I bought it in late 2009 (I think), I paid around £26k for it with 20ish k miles on the clock.

This makes a CIC retrofit even more tempting, I'll see the money back in resale

Ouch. Didn't yours have an inspection 2 done recently before being put up for sale?

No, it was in need of a service hence why I got it relatively cheap. The EML light has gone out now, v strange. Also found out that the car has Tein springs and a Scorpion cat back system when my friend put it up on the ramps. I might keep the exhaust but change the springs to Eibach or OEM.

It's just coming up to 80k and I'm pretty sure they're the originals so taking the opportunity to fit the whole kit to lower it and shocks to cope! :)

Gave the 320d a good clean inside today. Windows, dash and all plastic trims, vacuumed thoroughly, cleaned all the hidden metal parts between doors etc. checked oil, water and air. Quick wash outside and she's done. Photos to follow.

Those wheels look a tad on the small side - are they 18s?

Regarding the screen, I'd honestly wait until after your 3000 miles trip across Europe!

Yes they are 18" wheels which are the standard size on the Z4 ad Z4M, lighter and rides better than 19's. I guess it depends if you want looks or performance, they will hopefully look a bit better once it is lowered.

Sold the 335i yesterday and bought an M3 today (2011 E92). Cannot wait to collect it on Thursday! Lovely car with all the options that I wanted.

It seems a lot of these adverts don't state the full spec of the car, can you tell if the car has heated seats and heated mirrors by the look of buttons on the dash?

For example, this one doesn't say it has heated seats but correct me if i am wrong, the furthest left and right buttons are the heated seats buttons? And is there a chart or something to show what all the buttons are?
