BMW and M Power Owners

Manual gearboxes are totally lost on me, always have been. I wont even have a manual rental car if i can avoid it.

I would genuinely rather drive a 3 speed 80s autobox of utter fail equipped car than a manual car. :p

I'd be inclined to agree with you for most of my normal everyday driving, I really love having an auto gear box. However the 5 speed box in my 330d is truly awful and I'd not want to step down any further. When I sell the 330d I will definitely get another auto or dual clutch gearbox.
However I prefer manual in sports cars. It has to be manual or dual clutch for me. If I was spending £20k+ again on another car it would have to come with a dual clutch box. The manual in my M3 is good, and my preferred gearbox for that car.

Still have play in the steering and a vibration at pretty much all speeds :( the vibration isn't terrible, more like a constant wobble through the whole car.

Could a bad allignment cause the steering to feel dead at centre and give a 'loose' feeling?

Checked with the dealer today while my car was in being repaired how many times its been back to them since it was purchased at the end of November...there are 11 seperate chargeable warranty pieces of work each on different dates and that doesn't include the days/visits it was just there for diagnosis and isn't a count of the number of days it was in...sick of this now. Since I purchased the m235i this time last year I've had nothing but trouble.

All six cylinder cars have ambient lighting. You get the chrome door handles too with ambient lighting, good for spotting 520ds.

Its one colour.

I'm looking at an E92 M3 (LCI) tomorrow. Anything in particular that I should be looking out for? It's at a main dealer so it will come with a warranty in any case, I still don't want to buy one which has been totally thrashed or will have endless problems however. I know that's difficult to tell sometimes!

The car has all the options I want but I haven't decided whether I really like 'space grey' and whether it suits the M3.

I mentioned a few weeks ago I was getting my car wrapped and that most of you will hate it. Anyway, I like it, I'm happy with it and they did a good job on it. Was getting sick of the car having loads of stone chips and scratches - this sorted it for now and was cheaper than respraying it + fancied just trying it.

Matte Dark Grey + grills / vents etc all gloss black. Left the roof and window B pillar areas black.

Quick phone pics - proper pics will likely do it more justice tbh.

It's looks like they did a good job :)

You may get people knocking on your window when you stop trying to buy drugs though :)

I doubt the wrap would make any difference to people's 'drug dealer' opinions. It was black before... My last 4 BMW's have had the 'drug dealer' comments, simply because they are BMWs.

They've done a bloody good job. Seen some real shoddy wrapping jobs around here but yours looks mint. Nice!!

How much did it cost just out of interest?

Less than a respray anyway! The workmanship is very good. That Aventador in the background, is brand new and in to be wrapped.

Bit of a daft answer - why so cagey about the cost? People are obviously just interested and it's not as if it's some trade secret

I dare say it'll be somewhere in the region of £1500

I just know what motors on ocuk is like. Queue the OMG WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY comments :)

It was just above 2. Bearing in mind that includes some painting too and the car is pretty damn big. Cheaper quotes were had. Quality of workmanship was not impressive so went with the best one I found locally.

Looks good but not overly keen on the colour - could have been a bit more adventurous! Normally don't mind black wheels but they look a bit lost :( loving the car though :D jealous!

Colour choice was harder to decide on than you would think - I wanted to try something other than black, didn't want matt black, and kept changing my mind until I saw pics of an RRS in this colour, so thought I'd try it.

For a day to day car I didn't want anything bright and crazy lol, and this is pretty subtle in real life, yet has finally hidden all the scratches stone chips and dings :p

I just think it's made the car look less aggressive, the lines in the bonnet aren't visible any more, for example :( What engine size is it? Please say 5.0 :D
