BMW and M Power Owners

Anyone had any issues trying to put music on the I drive system, I have a 2012 car. When I put the songs in the USB port some play but the rest are this terrible static scratching sound. When I then put it back into the PC, most of the files are corrupted?

So - off for a holiday tomorrow up to Scotland and we're planning hiring a car for a few days to take in some scenery and go for some walks. We had booked a "skoda Octavia estate or similar" for 30 quid but after poking around online this evening I found I can hire a 435i for £150 or a 330i for £120

Reckon they're sufficiently special to spend another 100 quid for 2 days hire, or spend it on whisky and deep fried pizzas instead?

Option 1 has about 3600 miles on the clock and was likely a demonstrator. Registered in July 2015

Option 2 is pre-registered this month with little or no miles. Essentially new.

So, which should I go for based on the info above? Price the same

Option 1. HUD is superb and will make your car stand out from the crowd when its time to get rid.

HUD is excellent but will make no difference at resale time.

I am not sure it's worth paying week old 0 mileage car money for a second hand 6 month old one in order to get it. The other one doesn't have enough extra options to be worth buying the obviously second hand car.

I'd personally take #1. HUD, electric memory seats and adaptive suspension swing it for me. Extended storage and rear split/fold seats are also useful IMO.

What are the colour schemes?

But why pay the same for a used car with those few extras when the same money currently buys a 0 mileage car thats almost as well specified.

If you want Car #1, negotiate a better deal because IMHO it doesn't stack up at the same money as Car #2.

3600 miles is effectively new, isn't it? Depends what the cost is, but yes you do have a point. The used one shouldn't be the same price as the new one.

Option 2 is Estoril Blue and I liked the colour. Beautiful inside too and feels and smells...well...new! Option 2 is in Black Sapphire and I plan on seeing it tomorrow. Seems a fair few miles for a car registered in July but I agree it has some nice options on it.

My target price would be 30k for it. They are looking for 33k so we'll see.

3600 miles in 4 months is more or less average

. The 8 week old 4 series I replaced the windscreen on today had 2100 miles on it, the 5 week old 1 series on Friday I did had ~1200 miles on it and the 4 week Old Polo on Friday had 1000 miles on it. Seems like perfectly normal mileage
