BMW and M Power Owners

Picked up a M5 with the Competition Pack a few months back, the car is a beast with so much power. Its such a Jekyll and Hyde car it can be quiet and civilised in comfort mode and at a push of a button it all changes.

Gearbox is great the creep mode is perfect for parking and London traffic, automatic mode is intuitive and its a lot of fun to shift through the gears using the paddles.

Its Singapore grey with black and dark ash interior - layout of the interior is nice and the touch controller and 3d maps are a nice addition to an already impressive idrive system.

Still getting used to the car and all the features as there is a lot to explore!

Lovely! What does the competition pack add?

Local dealer had an f10 520d and it seemed to have carbon splitter, some sort diffuser, side skirts with carbon at the back(I think) and massive wheels. Thought that was some sort of performance pack.

That's just the 'M Performance' styling range.
 
Thanks guys its a great car to drive.

The comp pack is a minor performance upgrade, firmer suspension with slight decrease in ride height and updated DSC. Its only available on M cars as far as I know and usually is offered mid cycle in conjunction with a facelift. There were new wheels for the CP too but I am glad my car was specced with the 343 wheels as I prefer them.
 
Lovely car!

Just swapped out the scratched passenger trim on my F10. It is the easiest thing I have ever had to do, took about 2 minutes without any tools and cost under £30.

Just wait for them now to cancel your warranty because the trim wasn't fitted by an authorised workshop ;)
