BMW and M Power Owners

I prefer the look of an F10 5 Series to a Bugatti Veyron, but that doesn't mean I'd pay Bugatti Veyron money for one. The prices the 1M command are madness when viewed alongside the M2.

I agree. They are crazy. We live in a crazy world lol.

A few mins ago I checked pistonheads. The most expensive 1M on there is listed at 60k. I thought I have to see this.

I took one look at the first picture and thought there is no way I'd spend 60k on it. It had clearly been lowered. Which to me meant it must have undergone some heavy modifications. Oh and the car was now delivering 450bhp...

Anyway I digress. I prefer the 1M to the new M2. The 1M looks more like an afterthought.... Unplanned. Which it was. To me it makes it way more desirable.

Lowered = heavy modification? Just lol. 450 BHP might require a bit more than a set of springs / coilovers though.

What's my 330Ci worth guys? It's a 54 plate manual in coupe form. 113k on the clock, full BMW service history and almost new tyres all round. Options are sunroof and Harmon Kardon. Colour is Orient Blue.

Test drove an M135i today and I'm thinking of throwing it BMW's way, they're offering £3k (which I fundamentally believe is more creative accounting rather than the actual price being offered).

This is the car I'm interested in and drove today;

Comes with a years AUC warranty and a service pack up until Nov 2017.

Nothing for me to say about the car that hasn't been said before, it's just brutally fast!

Hmm yea odd that.

Also the Worcester one has the godawful tiny instrument panel display.

Infact it's basically horrid, buy a different one. And get a second years warranty chucked in to whichever one you do buy.

I wonder how they ever sell any cars, I've used them for service stuff a few times and looked at the odd car there and they are always hilariously priced. They've had a 60k mile 535d for £24k for about the last 6 months too :D

It didn't have a sat nav on the display, I thought that was odd!

In terms of the first one you linked, how would the warranty work? There's still a few months left on the manufactures warranty? Would I get a year from the day I bought it?

I'll try to work on a two year warranty deal, is it something that can be generally bargained for or are you a master at negotiation?! :p

BMW AUC's must be sold with at least 1 year warranty. This means if it has 6 months of factory left it gets topped up so you get 6 months factory and 6 months AUC.

BMW dealers can buy a second years AUC at far lower cost than you'd pay to renew your warranty. If you intend to keep the car beyond a year and would buy the warranty it is ALWAYS worth getting this chucked in - its value to you is more than the cost to the dealer.

So what are you saying, go new?

Do you want to spend more money on a car? If so, get a new one. If not, start negotiating on some of the used ones.

I don't think the new one is cheap enough for it to be the no brainer he thinks it is. There is 'only' 5k off list after all.

I bought brand new when the LCI first came out and I got £6K off a factory order back then. I'd imagine you could probably do a bit better now the LCI has been out almost a year.

I'm not keen on going new really.

Thanks for the advice thus far though chaps. Going to ring that Bradford dealer tomorrow and see if it's still for sale.
