BMW and M Power Owners

Walter Mitty had loads of money too, however if I wanted an A to B car for around £50k I'd find it hard to say no to a gtr, the m6 is like parking a small cruise liner I don't get the appeal (apart from the engine, that I get, in spades)

In isolation the GTR interior isn't too bad, you can forgive it in a car that's really all about performance but compared to the BMW it's poor. (the interior on the M6 is lovely)

Have you seen how massive a GTR is? I'd imagine they're even more tedious to park.

I have to admit I've not driven an m6, my mate has one and in the car park next to a gtr is just looks like a barge, I'm sure if googled the results would be there but for me the GTR wins everytime, here is his car (all the way in london and I'm not driving up there just to drive it :p)

Whats with slight hostility towards dr house? I have a missed something?

Was he the guy who had it all, lost it and now obviously on his way back up there? Or have i got the wrong guy?

There's no hostility, he's just forever posting funny things.

Well exactly, its just the whole 'Yea I only need it to get from A to B'. Nobody really says that unless they are just buying an old Mondeo or something. It just gives you the impression that his car tastes are so super elite that an M6 is just for getting from A to B for him. Yawn :p

He clearly wants far more than that. Why not just say it instead of trying to come across like 'Oh well, I guess I might as well just settle for something mundane like an M6'.

Actually what I was saying is it does not have any specific requirements other than being fun and gets me around, 2 seats, 4 seats, soft top, hard top anything will be fine.

I want a comfortable car thats unto 4 years old.

Oh and you are not far off with the fiesta, I am actually looking for one as a run around.

Small world, saw him posting that pic along with the rest on facebook the other day! His dad's 6 there is amazing

I'd be happy to take the M6 all day long, it has everything most would want in a very fast GT car, especially in the looks department, to which (IMO) the GTR simply cannot match!

Nope just saw the pictures pop up! Yeah on PH also, or maybe it was just on PH, too many car communities these days.

Are Mahle parts any good for BMW? Lost of the US guys seem to think they're fine bit I can't see any comments from the UK.

There's a filter kit (oil, pollen, fuel and air) on Ebay, all Mahle branded, which is the same cost as a single Bosch fuel filter from ECP!

Mahle/Behr is pretty good and OEM for some parts like thermostats. Meyle, however, isn't good in my experience.

Mann is the OEM for most BMW air/pollen/oil/fuel filters so they are normally as good as what you buy from BMW. A fuel filter I bought from BMW was a Mann filter in a BMW box.
