BMX petition!

I dont see the problem really. If it's an open/public skatepark then why are you wasting your time with a petition. Get your behinds down there in a decent-sized group and get on with it. Dont be idiots, just use it as you would normally. It's not like you need to worry about the skaters running you over is it? I doubt you'll have much trouble.

If it's a private skatepark (i.e. pay to go in), then they should have enough common sense to let the skaters in on one day, and the BMXers on another. You should take the petition to the owners and let them work out how much business they'd lose by not letting you.

Simple really.

EDIT: Looks awesome. Where in London is it?

Thats why we need as much people signing it so they know we are serious, after that hopefully they can sort out a timetable for when bmx'ers are allowed and not.

I wouldn't sign it purely because my past experiences as a skateboarder lead me to be being bloody annoyed at bmxers, I'd sign it if it were open to BMXers for maybe 2 days a week but not a joint-park, looks bloody good though.

considering on a bmx forum i found regarding this issue, someone admitted to sign it various times under false names/same name technically making it worthless.

If it does have coping, that isnt so bad but pegs will still damage floors and such way more the wood and plastic ever could

I think it's disgusting that only skaters are allowed to use this skate park. Please sign my petition to let me use my moto cross bike, my car and my JCB there.

i think the main reason why bmx'ers arent allowed is because of the speed and safety....bmx'ers can get up to a lot higher speed than boarders...now you imagine a guy on a bmx smashing in to a boarder not very safe......i dont think they should have banned bmx'ers tho as now your gonna get them all hanging outside causing trouble....they should have split it in 2 parts, part for boarders...part for bmx'ers...

Ditto.

Bikes are big. Bikes are Heavy. Bikes have big pointy pegs.

If someone stacks, which they will.. their pegs are going to damage the concrete. I don't mean the coping either.

Why do people see it like this. Skateboarders, bladers and bikers aren't blind to one and others and speak different languages. Its just commen sense to be aware of whats going around you. I have been to plenty of places where all 3 groups have been using the place.

I honestly thought this whole different sport hating was a bit fictional but now im not so sure. Myself, i have respect for whatever one your doing and have friends who do all of the above, its not to use commen sense

they should have split it in 2 parts, part for boarders...part for bmx'ers..

The place was designed and built with input from skaters, not bmxers so its probably not very accomdating for bmxers anyway

Um theres is a problem, its called pegs..

do what the parks in the USA do , they just say no pegs allowed , or theres plastic end caps that go on the end of the peg to stop it causing damage

at the plaza near us i cant say theres any damage anywhere from pegs

Which plaza you live by?

and i already stated the plastic/no pegs bit up the page :)

prisick in mboro

its crap for bikes anyway but its better than nothing . keeps ALLOTof kids of the streets , some of the "chavs from local rough estates are actually getting quite good on boards/bikes

Makes me wish I'd never sold my Raleigh 'Ultra Burner' when I was about 14 :(

I loved that bike :( :(
