Boo Hoo, Poor Scalpers

no they are not.
latest ebay auctions for 3080 Ti FE brand new ending at £850 that's bellow £925 from Nvidia which is available.
the regular scalped 3080 FE s aren't selling, this weekend a few "big name" retailers on eBay were selling Asus 3080 for £700,and another famous retailer selling MSI 3080 for £750 with 2 years warranty but the usual 10% code eBay regularly gives reduced the price to £680.
no one's going to pay over £750 for a 3080 now unless they are really stupid and can't be bothered with doing a basic search.

Yes they are going back up, whatever fantasy land you live in they might not be - but in the UK they are.

Where did you see that? in UK?

Yes,yesterday around 3PM already mentioned here:

seen other cards (3090) also come in and out of stock.

(I'm after 3080 FE so check regularly)

they are not.and will only go cheaper from now on.(sucks for scalpers)
I'm after 3080 FE specifically (looks) and am checking regularly.
*** no competitor price hinting!!! ***
eg why would anyone pay over £900 for a 3080 TI when Nvidia has stock for £925?? there is simply no room.
I mentioned eBay examples for various 3000 cards.you can check.
or maybe you're living in the fantasy land of scalpers yourself ;)

Almost every weekend ebay has £1 final selling fees or 80% off final selling fees so make that 2.6% max unless the scalper is stupid.
£1 final selling fees are quite rare ever since they ditched PayPal and started processing payments themselves. 70%-80% off promotions are usually every 2 weeks and they haven't had one since the 4090 released, so all the 4090 eBay scalpers so far will have paid 12.8% + £0.30.

Is it still used, if it is still sealed?

Don't know if the other guy has opened it, just curious.

Well if returned sealed I'm guessing the retailer will open it to make sure it's actually in there and not a brick.

I doubt people that have purchased them have not at least opened the packaging up to see what the card is like or not been damaged in transit.

New prices have gone up and starting to go up at other places too, the 2nd hand market will catch up soon too by the looks of it.
What cards specifically?
He claimed prices of 3000 series are going up.that's utter nonsense and the exact opposite is happening.
there are 3080 brand new cards readily available for £740 and under.
3080 TI FE in stock for £929 and they go for £850 tops in auctions brand new.
what prices exactly have gone up?

At retailers stores the 30 series has gone up at most places that have actual stock, he's probably not looking on auction sites or not interested in auction site purchases like a lot of people.

Quite a lot on the popular auction site now and looking like plenty selling too for a lot of money. Clearly people making plenty from selling them and obviously decent demand even at very high prices. There is even one company from Birmingham with a picture of multiple cards with their business details and website on there.

I guess it is common practice now and all about supply and demand, so I guess fair play to them.

I know it shouldn't bother me, but it does!

What a place the world has become, I remember the days when something came out and you just get it and move on - no longer the case with so many things it seems.
