So, just put this down after playing for the last 3 hours.

It's incredible.

All my gripes with the first game have been addressed, it's no longer a console port, it's a fluid fast paced fps which is a joy to play. Already at level 9 my friends and I are finding bucket loads of "OMG WOW" stuff. It's also absolutely hilarious, we've been in stitches.

We had an initial problem where some of us were "unable to connect to host". We ended up using Hamachi and joining a LAN game, food for thought if anyone else has a similar issue.

Meh if that's the case, that was probably my biggest gripe with BL1. It was impossible to get multi going without Hamchi!

Slightly confused by the Season Pass DLC. Remembered I should've got the code from GMG, activated it on steam and it did work but at the same time had a popup box saying 'Hasn't been officially released and can't be activated' for some reason.

never really gave BL1 a go, what sort of game is this? a diablo FPS? is it a linena story. harder modes ect? you can level up, then what happens at the highest level?

Just played about 10 minutes of the game before work. Runs very well on my spec (2600K @ 4.7, 2x 6970, 8GB) seemed to run pretty much 130 - 170 fps, the lowest it dropped to was around 100 fps so nice to know for now atleast it runs well.

The above settings should remove streaming, increase reflections and general overall graphics improvement. I would suggest a decent rig for this though, just in case or until anyone tells me it runs fine on lower end systems.

Also to Enable PhysX on ATI cards just change this line

I can't say it's been smooth for me, there are certainly parts of the game that make my 7850 chug!

Or should I say, there are certain parts of the game that simply don't make use of CPU and GPU.

Hopefully a patch will sort this.
 
I am playing with EVERYTHING on max,have a 560ti 448 core @ 1920x1080 last night.

Only time I got even a slight bit of slowdown when I had maybe 10+ enemy bodies in the floor infront of me. Think this is to do with the physx, but the game runs shockingly well!!! Looks stunning as well. I won't be tinkering, I am perfectly happy with it.

As for the game, wow... Just wow, I am truly sucked into this, was up until far too late last night, playing Zer0. Got to level 7, feel a little weak, but judging by the talents, I will be for a while, playing the assassin skill tree. Absolutely awsome lol.
 
great looking game .. runs a treat and the phys-x adds a lot to the feeling of being very polished .

If you are used to BL1 though its hard . Mobs hit harder and more of them . guns seem weaker (im only lvl 10) and ammo upgrade slots require that rare purple stuff which is pretty rare so for me atm ammo is to be used sparingly !!

Dont like the new inventory menus and the quests are not always clear but other than that i am enjoying it .
 
Just had a quick 30 mins before I start work and what a blast. The first Borderlands was my favorite game and I am glad to say they have not wrecked it. My No.1 game just got better!

I'm running 2560x1600 with physics on low and looks like everything else on high, default settings. Runs just like the first.
