They have since updated the article to include Randy's recent tweets in the last hour. It's almost a foregone conclusion it is Epic, not that it bothers me but think people will need to mentally prepare for that!

Will also be my first Epic store purchase, but only because its the first one to come onto Epic that I really want. I doubt it will be my last though. All it would take is for Cyberpunk 2077 to be an Epic game and I would buy it, or the next Total War game to be an Epic game, or a sequel to Alien Isolation being an Epic game, or Divinity Original Sin 3...etc. Essentially, if its a title that I really want, I'll buy it regardless. So I'm with you on it being my first but I cant in all honesty say it will be my last, it might be, it might not, depends what future titles come onto it.
 
I rarely log into steam these days as most AAA titles are on uplay, origin, blizzard etc... hence having to install another application like epic is no big deal.
Lay the blame squarely on steam for being greedy and becoming marginalised.
 
I own two games on epic store and if steam want these games on there store they could put the bloody effort in and get them rather than missing out.

Looks like this will be my third game on epic store for me. Looking forward to it

They must get something for having Steamworks installed, games activated on Steam mostly have steamworks such as achievements and hosting ? Epic games store is absolutely garbage in comparison to Steam when it comes to features. I got exonfree for free on Epic games store, installed, went to play, realised my DS4 failed to work, so have to link the game to Steam and launch via Steam to get an Epic hosted game to use my DS4 controller - Epic games store for me also won't run unless I use the -opengl switch, the client updates for Epic store have also broken on me so many times, I've now sick of re-installing, only reason I've bothered with this absolute joke of a client is for the free games.

If the game is epic for 1 yr then coming to other platforms after this, I'll wait, so far my time with Epic store has been extremely poor. Its a bad store front, it offers absolutely no features and its a terrible client. Only using for freebies.

I'm in that boat Krooton. All I want my launcher to do is launch a game, not interested in any other features so it matters not one jot that they are missing to me. I think the only feature that I actually pay attention to or use, on Steam , is the hours played and that's usually wrong anyway.
 
Had epic launcher for a while due to Fortnite and some old school Unreal Tournament so doesn't bother me. I play the game not the launcher. Also got all the free games they keep chucking on there. Only thing that bothers me with launchers is when you forget your password jumping through hoops to reset it that's with any launcher/account. Although I use Google authenticator for most logins for me it's a must. More competition is better, eh nvidia ?
