Borderlands 4 (2025)

I'm optimistic for BL4, I was late into the Borderlands series but I did always have fun with them even with Tiny Tina even though it was short lived. I do wonder with the more realistic look of the teaser if they're dropping the cell shaded look and going with something more realistic.
 
While the third had decent gameplay the writing, humour, and tone were terrible and ruined the game for me. They need to make something more akin to the second to bring me back. I'm doubtful given the absolute state of Tales from the Borderlands 2, it feels like they've flushed good humour and competent writing staff down the toilet in favour of Tumblr tier fan fiction.

I liked 3 a lot, was an order of magnitude better than TPS but no, wasn't a patch on 2 which is by far the best.

I'd kill for a remastered version of 2 using 3's engine :)

Opposite for me, TPS not bad, 3 just wasn't borderlands to me. No clue what it was but just didn't click.

Agreed about 2 though, BL2 on UE5 would be great !
 
Well, trailer today, and I am unimpressed.


It looks like a re-run of Borderlands 3 to me.

I was never happy with the artistic design in 3 and, darn it, it looks the same in 4. Especially the vault hunters look very unremarkable.

Not much of a hint at a decent story either. And what's with the horrible music choice?

Well, all I can say is that this trailer hasn't left me hyped up for the release.

Loved the 2nd, enjoyed the 3rd - some of the bosses were really great in B3, but the game didn't really click for me and didn't like the fact you seemed to find nice weapons a lot more regularly than in B2.
 
I thought the story for 3 was a bit 'meh', but the gameplay was improved over 2. Went back to play 2 and it just didn't flow as well.
 
i enjoyed BL3, but i couldnt get in to BL2 for some reason :/

At moment this will probably be a pass for me at the moment. i should play BL3 at least 1 more time
i'd enjoy this more if i had people to play with i think. but

BL2 had handsome jack - probably my favourite villain.

Also, if you're not going to play BL2, I'll leave a spoilered video of part near the end.
