BL3 was the 1st Borderlands game I played, whilst I thought the story was forgettable I had fun playing co-op and hunting loot with friends, and the DLC was enjoyable. Not much in the way of details on BL4 yet, but I suspect it will expand on BL3 but not add to many new things and I’m fine with that, I’ll still get plenty of enjoyment out of it with friends.

I think I had more fun as the Siren, but as said Moze is fun. Making grenades spawn on headshot is funny, and perma up time on the mech is always a blast. Tried Flak too, he seemed ok. Not tried Zane I don't think.

I played the heck out of Borderlands 1, 2 and The Prequel. Borderlands 3 was a struggle to get through. I think the story just didn't interest me enough to finish. I even pre ordered the ultimate edition which came with access to future DLC and never ended up playing any dlc content. Watching the trailer just didn't really do much for me but perhaps it'll have a good story and that would do nicely.

Seems to be fairly universal condemnation of the vault hunter art. People saying they have no character, are unremarkable, look like NPC's and so on.

Borderlands 3 was basically a non-stop fart joke, but Borderlands 4 is aiming for something a little higher.
We shall see.

lets see what happens, tbh i rememeber so little about the humour of BL3 other than one small section in swamp. i did enjoy the run and gun style a lot more than previous games.

I am very uninspired by the trailer.
A lot of people are complaining about the new vault hunters.

I don't even think its possible for the formula to fail at this point. Even BL3 is sitting at very positive reviews on Steam. I'd imagine a lot of the people playing don't care about the story or characters and will be happy as long as they can run around shooting and looting.
I think one thing they do need to sort out is the legendary gear. It seems so easy to get them in Borderlands 3 compared to the other games that they don't feel special anymore. They need to become rarer again.
