Now I’ve got a new GPU, I thought I would try fiddling about with nVidia DSR technology. Borderlands 1 looks amazing in 4K downsampled to 1080p. It’s just so clean. No jaggies on the fences or overhead cables anymore. This game was made for high resolutions.

Nice, i'll confess i havent looked at it since getting back from germany, guess because i've been enjoying all those games i literally couldnt run.

quite possibly, although i need to get my fix of heavily modded ksp out of my system
BL2 looks awesome at 4K.

Yes and I've now experienced the PhysX, too! Blood from monsters! Flags blowing in the wind! They're all absent on PS4.

i wish i could experience that too, but this is the pain of being in the red team
that said, it's still massively impressive how the bl series can look decent on a potato and fantastic on the right rig

Can you not install the PhysX drivers and run them on your CPU?

iirc the CPU implementation is a bit naff. Worth a shot though.
I prefer to play with Physx off as it makes things too hard to see what I'm doing! It's bad enough already with the Meatman in full rampage!

Might do, its not that it wont run, its just it wont run well because physx.

Heads up for those looking to get DLC - the GOTY is on sale on Steam at £7.69 which is the cheapest way to the majority of the content.

yeah bought it today. annoyed as I only bought BL2 last week for full price but i thought £7 for the DLC isnt too bad. Enjoying it so far but struggling to find better weapons (only level 7 so guess it'll improve!)

I picked up the rest of BL2 but not the multitude of head packs at 79p. That’s ridiculous, they should be given away for free now or charge something small like 10p. Pre-Sequel season pass will have to wait. Spent way too much on Steam this past month.

Especially when this past week you could buy every single piece of DLC for Borderlands 2 and TPS in one package (The Handsome Collection) on PlayStation Store for PS4 for £8.99. That's an absolute steal at that price. It's never been as low as that on Steam for just one of the games let alone 2.
Only problem now is my PC is such a potato - it's been turned into crisps - that even when I turn down every single graphical setting to Off or Low in Borderlands 2, I get about 20-30fps. Horrendous.
Black Friday hurry up, please.

Haha! I know the feeling waiting on sales. Doubt I'll be able to get anything though whilst stuck at work
