Borderlands

I love playing Lilith, especially when she is fully geared up for smg use. Smg Proficiency at 50 and a decent mod with ammo regen, a good Combustion Hellfire and a Double Anarchy, there's not much that will stop her.

Mordacai has surprised me, did'nt think I would like him, but Bloodwing maxed out is awesome.

I fell down the rabbit hole as well thanks to this thread resurfacing. Daft really when I have so many unplayed games and when I'm actually making progress on the guitar with the time I used to 'invest' in making numbers get bigger. But boy, no game makes numbers get bigger in a more addictive way than Borderlands, and the art style means this might never get old or any less addictive.

The good news for me is that I needed a 'diet game', by which I mean a game I can fire up and lose myself in for an hour or so when the munchies strike (which is far, far, far too often). It gives my willpower meter time to recharge! So my level number is going up and my scales number is going down... albeit a bit more slowly than it might if I was out on my bike instead, making Strava numbers get bigger. :)
 
Mapped my Reload key to P so it's well out of the way and have been playing as Gaige with Anarchy. I see what you guys mean now. I got an Unkempt Harold the very first time I saw Savage Lee so that with stacks of anarchy is almost one-shotting everything except the Badasses. I was just over 200 stacks when I lobbed the Skyrocket grenade by pressing the wrong key and died as there were no enemies around. Whoops!
 
Can’t wait to try The Warrior with 400 stacks! Wilhelm was dead in the blink of an eye, Bloodwing took a bit longer due to bullets going everywhere with the lack of accuracy but no more than a minute. BNK-3R coming up tomorrow. It’s great fun.

first playthrough with gaige i one-shot the warrior, torgue shotgun to the chest, it was glorious.
 
Does the 5% Vault Hunter relic actually work? When I started playing Gaige with it equipped by default, I got about four legendaries by time I reached the Wildlife Preserve. Swapped it out for the Cooldown relic and got nothing. Swapped it back again and got an orange shotgun almost straight away in Thousand Cuts.
 
Short answer is not really. What it does is decrease the number of white guns you'll see and give you a better shot at green and maybe blue gear.

Legendary drop rate from named sources is about 9% chance on kill. Most mini bosses and bosses have a legendary or two in their loot pools. You just got lucky.
 
Playing with the Blitz character mod atm, much better than Roland and does some serious damage.One thing you can't use on this is Relics, but then the turret does shock damage and has a 360 degree rotation, so you don't miss them.

Yeah, I guess so. I just thought it was bizarre that I went practically half the game with Maya on TVHM without that relic and got no oranges at all yet starting afresh with Gaige and the relic and had five in the same time.
