Borderlands

I think the amount you pay is proportional to how much u had, i found quite a few items and was constantly selling everything, so i had well over a million, but now after the last fight i was back down to about 600k

OK, installed and played for a few hours, first impressions are good.

Sorry for this next question but I don't want to sift through 20 odd pages to find the answer.

What's with the auto aim? Am I imagining it? Is it just some guns? What's the deal?

It's only slight but it feels like once you've started shooting at something your crosshair tracks it a little.

You can turn off auto aim in the options.

Anyone been having any crashing ? My friend is having his game randomly black screen, sound starts skipping, complete system lock up. Latest drivers and the such installed, only thing i can think of is overheating but hes not the type to dive in his PC and fiddle with things.

Yea, I was reading the gearbox forums earlier, he's not alone. Seems like there's quite a few people experiencing it

Thankfully I haven't had them

This is how much money i had at the end, taking into consideration that i died quite a few times in a row so lost a lot of my $$

Anyone remember the name of this boss? I hid behind that chain link fence while he threw grenades at me.. in the end I only had pistol ammo so had to finish him off with that.

I think it had psycho in its name.

I did this one at around level 12/13. Took me ages of running around backpedaling dodging him, this game isn't kind if you do something even a level to early.

I was fortunate to have a good combat rifle for my Soldier.

Had my first proper coop just now for hours and hours. Was actually playing with a good team. Has to be said it is a lot of fun when you are with a good team. Couldnt actually imagine playing on my own now. So guess I will always be hosting :). Teams fill up quickly too. Some of the boss fights take ages with a 4 person team though!

Not spending any of my money on weapons, shields etc Find good enough drops from bad guys. Save my money for respawms, ammo etc.

I almost exclusively use my shotgun, some double barrelled 1,000 damage a hit jobby, and I'm a hunter  No elemental damage or anything fancy, just good old fashioned lead :D

It kills practically everything (I'm level 15 now I think, I've had it for about 6 levels) in one hit. I use my sniper rifle for range and when they close they get a face full of shotgun. Works a treat.

It goes through the shield and health?

I should be getting this in the next few days! I just need to pop to the bank and transfer some money first. :D

OK I need tips :)

Is there a manual around?

If I want to heal a buddy is that possible?
How do I drop items?
When I die what is the penalty if I respawn?
Is there a way of show the chat history (from the talk key t)
Not sure on skills still need to work at that?

Agreed with Captain Rave - Coop is where this game is at. Can people join in game and can you invite them from within game or do you need todo it from the Lobby?

Can you chat in the lobby?

Damn I have a million questions :)

You can heal by shooting them if you have the skill as a soldier.
Hunters get an unpgrade unit that when equiped will regen team HP.

Drop by right clicking and clicking drop.

When you die you loose some cash.

No Idea about the chat history

Skills are easy enough, you'll learn very fast ingame. Or look up the game site for a skill calculator

For a game that prides itself on co-op I think its amazing how un-user friendly this portion of it is. Getting into a co-op game feels really clunky and doesn't work half the time and when you do eventually connect the game that was listed as level 1 is acutally full of level 20s and way ahead of where you are.

I guess I need to speak to my isp and get some ports opened (yes, I don't have any control over them myself) and start hosting my own games.

In the meantime, is anyone up for some low level shenanigans tomorrow morning? I'd love to get a decent co-op game going with some ocukers.

The lobby side isn't so bad - wel except the lack of chat :) If you can't invite people into an actual game that is bad. Also I dropped out as the host and it didn't warn me that would kill everyone's game. Obvious I know but still should have warned or handed it over to another player. Lag wise it was very impressive for not seeing any lag.
