Awesome game just bought it, graphics are really funky and game play is great

I picked up a revolver that fired rockets, shame I wasn't using them. I also found a rapid-fire shotgun that I played with for about an hour, but I ran out of shells too fast.

dam i hate them ants, they just keep popping up. was easily dispatching 4-5 ants, next thing a badass corrosive ant pops up and i run like hell because he nearly kills me instantly. What happens, the bandits decide to respawn right in front of me where im hiding and shoot like hell, bloodwing to the rescue!!

Yes, it really is. Its even worse when your class isn't really designed for that type of fight so not only is the ending terrible, it takes AGES.

im only lvl27 and will be taking my time with the main story then if its that bad, dont see the rush anyway

There is, Playthrough 2 is much more interesting than Playthrough 1.
Meh, took me longer i swear. I did it on my Soldier in no time at all, ammo regen classmod and an LMG with a huge clip. Hunter took forever, ended up having to switch to some random LMG i picked up on the way so i didn't run out of ammo for Pistol/Sniper.
I found phasewalk to be particularly useful in that fight, to get out of the way of attacks. Then just spammed criticals with scoped revolvers/pistols, with that 'Dove' pistol (unlimited ammo) for backup in case of using up all the ammo. Blasted thing was two levels lower than me and still took ages to take down.

It was a cakewalk with my soldier, i think i was a few levels higher than the end boss at that point but i just unleashed my rapid fire machinegun on it and it lasted about 30 seconds(estimate). Apparently grenades are meant to be really effective against him. I ended up respeccing to a hp/shield regen build for my soldier, aslong as theres weak enemies around with the strong ones he just cant be killed no matter how many times i get hit.
I stopped playing this game half way through my second run as it just got boring. I can only play by myself most of the time so i never bothered trying multiplayer so im not sure if im missing out on much.

whats funny is when i started out i was getting destroyed by the pup skags, now level 30 i just slap them silly

it's worth slapping them for the 4 achievements + XP
If by achievements you mean challenges, then who honestly gives a damn? Compare the amount of exp they give you to the amount of exp you need. A 1 time only challenge that requires an excessive amount of kills for a reward you won't even notice. The challenges seem like an afterthought because they really do serve no purpose and the exp wasn't balance at all.
