Borderlands

Completed last night. Really good game but could have been so much better, if only they had more time and bigger budget.

Most ridiculous online gameplay ever!! My online never actually worked even once (don't get me started on opening ports etc, no other game has this sort of issues).

If you get lucky and get some good weapons it makes such a huge difference in gameplay.


Also I found sniper rifles to be the best weapons to be used in the game, head shot here and there, I really wish I could use a bigger variety of weapons but most of the times you gotta kill everything from distance otherwise you won't survive.
 
So, some new DLC has just been released. I liked the first a lot, so bought the second. Really needs to be played co op, but looks interested. Anyone else bought it, and up for playing?
 
I had a go at hunter initially, but quit it at about level 13.

Now I'm playing through as a Siren, using Pistols/Revolvers only. Unfortunately I had to pull out an SMG once to finish off *SPOILER* Marley in the Marley and Moe quest*SPOILER*, but I had run out of ammo and it would have taken an excessively long time to phasewalk/melee over and over again.
I must say, I'm really enjoying it. :)

I have just purchased Zombie Island, and am getting battered I am only on level 34, so will be interesting. Once I have completed Zombie Island, I might buy other one.

Yup, my Soldier had a quick life regen shield from about L7 to high 20s until I found an upgrade (can't bear not to have life regen on the shield, carrying and using health packs is too much of a PITA).
 
yeah i had a decent one at lvl11 or so but sold it for cash thinking i could buy a good one.

my current one is only 270 with recharge rate of 68 (no health regen or anything though).

been looking for ages now for a good one, got tons of money aswell.

I've got it, I think it's really good fun, it can get a bit intense and repetitive, but it's all good fun.

There's some really good loot to be had too.

Health regen is great early on...

Later its useless. I think every class has a skill that heals them at some point for some requirement.

I seem to have looted a Shotgun Revolver... god knows why but its a Revolver that fires 7 shots with pretty good accuracy, so i just aim in the general direction of the Zombie and critical its head.

I've got one like that, I'm level 25 or somthing and its 110x7 + Scope! scopes pointless as it's not really accurate, tbh only thing it's missing is corrosive damage!
really wish I could get multiplayer working on this!
