Borderlands

Gah, it's just typical. I've not stopped playing Borderlands for five days now. I wish I bought the DLC when it was only £2 each last week. :( I've done the main story three times in a row already.
 
ill start playing borderlands again once the 4th dlc appears. Enjoyed it up until i completed every character up to play through 2.

I think that's what mine is doing! Did a reformat recently and put on the latest drivers (whatever are currently available on ati site, think 10.7) and about every half an hour or so the game locks up, I have to ctrl alt del out and back in, wait a min or so, then it all comes back....

yeah i have the problem as well with 10-5 it really does not like ATI much..as Nvdia users seem mostly fine....

again comes down to bad coding ..... boarderlands has always had a issue with ATI after reading about abit....some solutions work for some while some don't...

fun game quite funny to partucaly with that little robot dude
 
Playing the Dr Ned DLC and not finding it particularly great really. Just a bit of a grindfest doing missions and killing Zombies - and not very clever Zombies at that. Apart from the very occasional horde requiring a rapid fire gun I've pretty much only sniped my way through.

Are the other DLCs better?

Don't know Zombie level but my Mordecai is L37 in Playthrough 1. Not sure if I'll play through again but want to complete the DLC because I've got a few games that I haven't even touched yet and want them all completed before Falout Vegas appears.
 
Bought this game today on steam - enjoying it so far but is there a way to get AA / V-sync working at all (using 280GTX)? looks a bit gash right now due to tearing.
apologies if its already covered in here but.... 55 pages :/
also is it just me or is the FoV really... horrible and consoley? any way to change that too? :)
 
Is there any other way, apart from the floor bug, to get back into Knoxx armoury?

For some reason i only got two goes at it, completed all the quests and didnt get my third chance.

Thought there might be a quick travel mod to warp you straight in.

Very unlikely. Such a mod would just be broken, if it could even exist.

There are 3 quests. First is the primary quest. Second and Third are quests from the merchant guy and are at a higher level than the primary quest so give better loot. Assuming you can kill a lvl61 General Knoxx which is no easy task... If you bugged 1 of them by entering the elevator area or miscounted and have finished them all, there is no way back into it short of joining a game with someone doing it.

Use Willowtree to uncheck the completion on the final run through mission so you can do it again?

Either that or if you get a bunch of you together (Minimum 3) you can use duel and Sledges shotgun (Has massive knock back effect) to fire each other over the collision volumes and get in via the roof. We managed with 2 people to get over the first collision volume but you need a 3rd and do it in 2 stages.

Not really worth it tbh, just keep killing Crawmerax. Easiest/quickest way to get decent loot. TFA have done it probably over 30 times now, 3 pearlescents and counting!

You gotta get pretty lucky with normal weapon drops to make Crawmerax easy but if you do some money farming in DLC4 you can make plenty of money and buy the level 61 items for 9999999 in the Crawmerax machines. You'll need one of each of the elemental weapons. Corrosive for the armoured bugs, fire for the green ones, and shock for Crawmerax himself and the little slugs. If your lucky enough to get "The chopper" dropped, I use that as my fourth weapon. 524 round magazine and it unloads the whole thing in 1 click in 10 seconds or so. Aim it at Crawmeraxs critical zones with 4 of you and he goes down pretty quick!

Quad anarchy is best weap for Crawmerax if Siren....combined with a 60% damage/smg ammo regen mod.

Also i've killed him about 50+ times easily and no Pearlescent drops yet. :(

The 4th DLC is out Sept 28th, can't wait and level cap is 69 apparently.:)
