So they broke it again? Weren't they supposed to have patched it a while back so if you logged online with hacked items that couldn't possibly exist they were deleted automatically?

I dunno. First time I've gone online with it. I don't know how they've hacked these items. :confused:

Its possible, theres just no way to differentiate between a hacked item and a real 1 IF its a valid design. Some weapons just aren't valid and use mods that shouldn't exist or modded values i think, i'm sure the game should delete them if you go online with them, or at least it was supposed to.

There was this level 69 siren woman who just dropped about 10 purple shields with 2 million capacity. Practically impossible to croak it.
 
Just bought this in Steam's 2K sale and I'm having trouble getting some of the tweaks to work.

I've tried using the third person, field of view and toggle aim tweaks but I can't get any of them to work (I've restarted steam and I've tried using the F-keys to alter FOV/3rd person settings). I've managed to get the skip intros tweak to work but that's it.


Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
 
Since you havn't actually said what you're doing in the first place I have no idea :p.

For FoV changing all I did was open the file:
C:\Users\Bloomfield\Documents\My Games\Borderlands\WillowGame\Config\WillowInput.ini

Then after the first set of bindings under the "[Engine.PlayerInput]" header added the lines:

Bindings=(Name="F10",Command="FOV 90",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False)
Bindings=(Name="F11",Command="FOV 110",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False)

Then pressing F10 or F11 ingame changes the FoV to 90/110.

weapons/ shields are easy to mod, but you cant import them into the game anymore..... you cant alter the files at all, or the saved game will corrupt, you can only give yourself ``GODMODE``, but i dont play online so that's ok.:cool:

these guys modded their weapons ages ago, BEFORE the patch was released to prevent it.

modded weapons ruin the game totally, too easy, it's too easy to play as it is anyway, because all you do is to kill Crawmerax 50 times and you'll get all the weapons you ever need and in GODMODE he dies in about 3 mins;);)

i found a 350 damage repeater pistol, 64 rounds and 15 fire rate, use this with the Hunter pistol mod, ammo regen and 60% fire rate increase to kill Crawmerax..... it kills him far quicker than any other weapon....all 3 claws are gone in only two magazines
 
The patch worked retroactively as far as i'm aware. It checked items to see if they could be legitimate and if they weren't it deleted them. It might be that it only does that if you have them equipped as you enter/exit the game though.

Then you did something wrong. All you do is add those things into the game and they should work fine, iits not you've mispelt something or added it in the wrong place or something.

maybe yes, but i couldn't import any of the modded weapons, i used a weapon mod online, but i was pretty ignorant as how the Willowtree worked, so i lost my patience with it:D

but my weapons now are well powerful enough so i'm quite happy.... i think Borderlands has the best weapons in any game i've played, the gaming mechanics is very similar to FEAR.....Rage looks similar too ;)

for best weapons go to the Claptrap DLC mini- armoury, or keep killing Crawmerax :D, but the General Knox armoury is totally useless
