Borderlands

The DLCs take place after the story. They may even start at level 25 or 30 so you can't do them yet. :)
Yeah, I know I can do them quiet yet. Was just curious in what order they were suppose to be done, after main sounds good to me. :) Once doing them though, should they be done in a certain order or just which ever one fancy doing ?
Thanks for your reply, much appreciated ! :)

1) Doctor Ned - so so
2) Mad Moxxi - arena based team event which you can skip
3) General Knoxx - MUST play. The reward for completing this is orgasmic (mostly)
4) Claptrap - so so

That's the order but personally I would do 3 first as it's a sort of continuation of the story.

Thanks @ic1male , much appreciated again ! I be doing General Knoxx first once I done the main game, then see what order I do the other three in, even if Moxxi is just Arena, might try it still.

made this mistake halfway through my second playthrough launching up general knoxx, i got thoroughly slaughtered so had to go back and finish the main campaign again to get leveled enough to play it.

funny nearly completing my second run through of bl2, just took a break to do tiny tina's dlc (because it's awesome) then gonna finish main campaign before doing the badass crater and hunters grotto.

although i swear the combat is really unbalanced, certain enemies fall like matchsticks and others are tougher than any boss and you basically have to glitch the game to be able to kill them.

tbf, probably intentional unbalancing, to fit the theme
That goes for the first borderlands too, just did some quests in Arid Foothills, went and killed the Roid Rage Psycho at the Sledge's Safe House. Went in, killed some enemies on the way then the boss fight, won it relatively easy, although was spraying and praying at one point. Then on way back was much more enemies being spawned all over the place. Was like whot !

Finally out of the plase, I thought, lets do the last quest I have left here (had 3 in total, not sure if there is more but find out later, also found the sniper parts on the way to Sledge's House) which was killing 2 skags, named Moe and Marley. Found a good lookout position, or so I thought anyway. Picked my sniper rifle, shoot and not a budge in the skag, so switched to a Rocket Launcher I found in Sledge's House and.. still barely scratched it. So I skittled my way away from there, with Moe hot on my trail, passed some bandits and Moe attacked those, giving me a breather. :o But it took ages to kill it, was thinking of leaving Marley to later but then did the same, shoot it and then ran to another group of bandits which helped me distract it while I was emptying like 600 bullets into it.

Even a couple badass Skag I ran into was easier then kill then these two. Guessing there be more insane quests like this as I progress in the game though. :p

moe and marley are a tricky bunch for sure, have you been to the crystal cave yet? it's just a side quest at about your stage but all i can say is prepare to get owned badly...

which character are you playing?

I just did that cave, was really close a couple times, and got luck with second wind.. 3 times ! It's a bit shocking really how fast they respawns though, meet a Claptrap in there, continues through the cave to get the kit, then turned back to hand it to him and the bandits there had already respawned. Thank god there was just normal ones and not badasses, had 4 of them coming in there, took ages to take them down, but was lucky with worms and skags respawning and attacking them as well.

Playing as Mordecai, since I always prefer sniper roles if possible. Although got to say I am using the SMG more then sniper though.

Mordecai was always my favourite. A levelled up Bloodwing is great fun. But I eventually settled on using revolver skill upgrades.

mordecai is pretty damn good, protip: the trespass skill is the best skill and must be leveled up immediately!

funny i found lillith was pretty good at bosses as generally you could phasewalk to a hidden corner to regen health.

currently running a maya build in bl2 and currently have this awesome combo for crowds, to the point a lone enemy is actually more dangerous than a crowd of 10 of the same enemy. just a shame the boss fighting is not so much fun if they don't have a lot of spawned minions to condense to a killbox.

Yeah, just done a few upgrades on bloodwing, see how far I take them.

Thanks, I will start leveling that one up if it is available for me. :)

On another note, I noticed some times you can't get to loot all places. :( .. Or atleast I couldn't find a way up to loot the bandits that I shoot in these lookouts (I could se the "light strobes" that they dropped something.)

Worst part was being level 17 and finding these two. Slightly hurt having to sell them but was no way I was going to carry them around until I could use them ! :p

^those towers can't be accessed, just part of the game sadly. once had one drop a legendary something up there and couldn't get it :(

as for higher level loot, its up to you but generally unless its 1-2 levels above i don't bother keeping it unless it's a legendary. you'll often find by the time you hit lv25 those 2 snipers are going to be pretty poor compared to what you're currently running.

Yeah I figured that, hence why I sold them off. but being a lootaholic and not wanting throw (or sell) good stuff it did hurt slightly. :o I wasn't expecting to find weapons that high above me though, 1-2 levels I found before which is nothing really, but those 2 surprised me.

Drat about the towers though, but atleast I know now when I run into others like that, maybe shoot them with grenade launcher so they might be thrown off. :D Btw, if you get a legendary, does it say so in the description ??

the colour of the glowing spike (if its on the ground) and border (in your inventory) indicates rarity.

iirc it's white, green, blue, purple, orange (then turquoise but that's end game stuff). orange=legendary, more rarity=better for the same level, but that's not to say a lv10 legenday is going to be better than a lv30 common

protip: anything (regardless of rarity) with red text has some special "thing" to it, you can try just shooting stuff to see what it does or what i prefer is just to tab out and wiki said weapon.

Thanks for the information ! I got up to purple weapons, so guess I have something to look forward to later on then. Only have the Sledge: Battle for the Badlands left in my quest que for now, but there is another area left to explore so guessing there is something more to do once that quest is done. Enjoying it so far but have to plan the gaming a bit since starting an area and having to quit halfway through isn't really an option with BL. :p

Yeah, normally side quests tend to reside in various areas so its worth picking them up so you can do multiple at once.

Theres quite a lot more game to go, fortunately its not a franchise that has succumbed to the current fashion for 30s campaigns, hell even the shorter dlc has as much length as your average cod

Been playing some more and slightly disappointed with the red and white weapon chests. Like in New Haven for example, 5 chests in the town and only found like 3-4 weapons above lvl 20 in them (after having opened them 5-6 times). And considering I was lvl 22/23 when I come there and now lvl 27 one would thought you find slightly better levelled weapons. But then yesterday I got a lvl 28 weapon, 10101 Canon :o (although, wasn't in New Heaven but in The Rust Common West.). I had to use goggle to find out what kind of weapon it was though, ** The Eridian Cannon is the Eridian equivalent of the Rocket Launcher. ** Which was pretty nice drop from a chest, although not useful for me yet. Then today I got this (also from The Rust Common West):

The Eridian Thunder Storm is the Eridian equivalent of the Shotgun.

The damage on it is 99x8, which is pretty awesome, but the recharge is really slow.

Shortly after I found it I used it against Rakkinishu, which to my surprise is a respawning big bird that drops a decent loot. :D 3/4 shoots and the bird was down. Since had to take cover from the fire rain, the recharge wasn't a problem, but using it against a larger amount of enemies wont be fun.

But yeah, I find it a bit ***** that the chests don't really contain any better weapons, mostly been buying them from the vending machine to stay slightly levelled with them. Fact is, the best weapons I have, that is not bought, has come from a chest in The Arid Badlands, the bandit camp that has a bridge over to the side where the arena/cave quest is located (the chest almost constantly drops items level 20+).

Sorry for the small rant, but just had to went a bit. :p
