i used to struggle on whelp skags let alone the bigger ones lol.i cant wait to get home from work
im just getting the mining key from a hideout at the moment.How did you get on with your rocket launcher and Bonehead?
not as good as i thought it would be, i bought the launcher thinking "great, he stands no chance now!" yeh, little did i realise, after buying it, it was more of a shield depleting shock rocket than a killing one.
i did kill him though. after the rocket launcher completely failed (and it had a very slow reload time!) i threw a few bouncing betties at him then just brawled and punched him to death. i had to run away from the bruisers though.

LOL! That was what happened to me, too which is why I didn't say anything further yesterday. In the end, I used the rockets to deplete his shield and then threw my port-a-turret down and used an assault rifle. VERY tough that mission.

Revolvers are awesome. I've got one that has near perfect accuracy and does 500 damage per hit.
damn thats good. i think brick isn't that good at using revolvers. im not sure though.. i have a revolver that does 288 damage, but i need to be level 16, and it only holds 2 rounds heh. might as well be a sniper!
So when this game first appeared, it touted the combination of 16 million different weapons or something like that. But is this purely with the game generating different weaponry in crates and stuff? You can't buy a basic gun and then mod it with your own stuff like accuracy, zoom, number of rounds, etc?

To the above posters, Bonehead is quite hard to take out. I think the main problem is the sheild he has. You need to deplete that, then get some serious damage done. It may be a case of doing this in stanges to get his health down.
If you charge in there, he will take you down. I had to resort to a rather powerful sniper rifle, one shot to take out his sheild, then a second or third to cause him damage. Of course, then his sheild regenerates and you are often re-loading at the same time.
However, I don't have that problem with anyone now. 3x Electric Sniper Rifle that does 150 damage and 98% acurracy! Electric weapns just go through the sheild and the enemy takes damage instantly.
One of my fave weapons at the minute is a Revolver with 70 damage and 4x Zoom with Scope! That's more zoom than the sniper! In fact, it's over twice the zoom!!!

I spent about 10 minutes going through the camp on the other side to find a way up there. Couldn't find anything. I looked online and people are saying its an easter egg. Not sure if that's true - would be cool if it did something amazing.

edit: Really want to start the game over now I know how the game works, and play as the hunter, but not sure, seems most of the fighting situations lean towards the soldier...

i spent ages looking for a route up n werent happening thats why its bugging me and i hate the invisible wall that stops u jumpin over the rocks.
as for that big thing (some kind of roid monster or something) in the arena
OMG took me a lot of attempts to get that even worse is that upon death sometimes there is no enemy's spawned others all of em.
might be a class related problem i was having im playing as the sniper class.

Well Sniper is a support class, not really supposed to solo tank the bosses and most bosses don't have bits where you can just stand and shoot from afar.
Might want to consider developing a backup skill such as Shotty for up close and personal.
Yea, heed this advice, always build up a third weapon, like I have just lvl'd up a hunter to 11, main weps are now sniper and shotty, will start a smg for my third, so will use it every now and then and buy ammo upgrades so in boss fights I can just spam away.
Btw, as for the hunter, I love it
Will stick to this class now. Great fun No idea what skill tree to take though, only took me a hour and 30 to get to 11 so am flying through skill points ags
