Bought a phone off eBay: would you say this is in "excellent condition"?

Feedback left:

Not my idea :p

That's rubbish feedback. You haven't told people the item wasn't as described (screen scratched) and the seller was unhelpful when asked and that you had to get refund through dispute resolution.

At the moment it just looks like a generic gripe and something about "stock images" which a lot of people won't understand. "Everything that is bad with ebay", what are people supposed to make of that. Apparently all that you have complained about is their use of stock images.

Go a few pages back and you'll realise why I left this comment.

I think that was bad advice.

He can reply to your feedback and make it seem like you were being unreasonable. That is why you have to be specific and give details.

If you were a buyer which would put you off more? Your feedback or

"Nexus 5 with badly scratched screen, marks to case. unhelpful and abusive, had to use dispute resolution".

Then people could go to the listing and see how he described it as excellent and exactly how his current listing is described.

It seems the photos are not stock...asked him this morning and got this reply just now.

Hi, these are actual pics of my phone, not stock images. What more do you want to see, not a lot other angles I can get :)

The scratches won't show up anymore as he's put a screen protector on it.

Also he has given a photo of the back, even if it isn't very good.

i noticed in his completed listings that he also sold it on 6th March, maybe he had to refund that buyer as he now has it up for sale for a 3rd time
