just spitballing but if you take no car and the £50 a day then hire something cheap like a fiesta on your own.
This may be a daft question, but would taking a downgraded car which costs the insurers less per day perhaps reduce the chances of the car being written off on the grounds of overall costs?
That's what they all say, it's typical sales speakhe said they'd be prioritising my case. How much this matters I have no idea.
