Bought an old BMW M3, filled with regret...

I would personally keep it stock but then I'm old and boring. It's nice to see cars like this immaculate in stock form.

Unless you lift up the bonnet you wouldn't know otherwise (visually). The better part and full throttle eagerness from the upgrade makes it worth it, but more-so the induction roar. There is nothing changed on the outside that would otherwise suggest mods that couldn't otherwise have been factory items.

45mins to install/uninstall tops and something that won't ever lose much value, so selling it on will get your money back

Think the z4m is quicker to install looks like it has a few less parts then the M3 version.

Mrk where did you get yours from ? Wondering if they discount this version as well.

Fair enough its a lovely looking car and good to see you are getting it back and back on the road.

My Lotus was a cat D when I got it and it took me a fair bit of work to get it back to its original condition but it felt damn good when finished and it had been saved from being broken or scrapped.

Hmm I am very tempted now. Got me wondering if it may have a nice side effect of fixing my idle rev issue.

Edit: Just sent them an email about it. Z4-forum discount is 525 shipped so just making sure that still stands.

Looking forward to comparing induction noise at the next meet Badger!

Few cosmetic items arrived now.

The M3 badge is a genuine E92 one. I actually prefer that size to the taller E46 one, it just looks a more elegant to my eyes.

The alloy badges are hard plastic and aluminium backed so should not warp and fall off as easily as the rubbery standard ones.

On my list of thinsg to get next, replaced all the BMW badges and couldn't face buying the M badgers at the same time. To much money on badges at once :P

They are crazy money. I really need to replace my bonnet badge but I can't bring myself to spend £30 on a badge :/

Yeh, think I spent 150ish on the last car replacing all the badges. I will save getting the 3 M badges till I get the steering wheel trimmed and maybe getting that mod in an impulse buy when I get a reply to my email.

The smaller M3 badge does look good on the E92, however might look out of place of the E46. Will reserve judgement until I see it on the car :)

I used manvision (tm) to visualise the shorter size on the boot lid and it looked good :p

Although had I not mentioned it, I'm confident absolutely nobody would notice any different.

Make sure that you get your self a private plate that reads M3 XYZ etc.

Just in case people can't tell it's an M3 :p

Ah yes, good shout. I should also get a kidney grille M3 badge, just to add further repeition to drive in the fact!
