Boxing Day Footie *spoilers be inside*

Eduardo has been shocking, not managed to beat the wall / first man on any corner or free kick (why is he taking them with Nasri in the side anyway) and spawned himself a goal if it is left in his name. He should be starting to make his mark yet is consistently the worst player on the pitch. Everyone else has been pretty average so far, defence has been the best area for us.

Yep have to say the same about him...i know Wenger is trying to get him to match fitness or get him back to what he was but im afraid hes just not that good anymore sadly...the injury a few yrs ago has knocked the stuffing out of him and i highly doubt he will ever get to his full potential....he got a lucky deflection on the first goal other than that hes not all that much a player now.

Other than we have been decidedly average...its shocking how bad we play without Fabergas...he comes on and the whole team looks so much better but hes now out for at 10 days or something Wenger said before the game....i just hope he comes back and stays fit for the rest of the season otherwise we have no chance of catching Chelski or Man Utd. Have to say Nasri is looking as good as ever though...Diaby hasnt been too bad this game either:p

Has Eduardo ever been that good? Or is it all just sentimental because of that bad injury?

He looked the deal when Arsenal first signed him, he was settling in and playing football the Arsenal way. He's not been the same since the injury so I can understand why Arsenal fans talk about him the way they do.

"Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson makes one change to the side that beat Hull 3-1 just two days ago - the 99th consecutive match in which the Scot has not retained the same starting XI - as Ji Sung Park is picked in place of Ryan Giggs, who does not even make the bench."

NINETY NINE?!?

I knew he was addicted to squad rotation but that is just ridiculous. And Park :( Why is Park starting ahead of Obertan??

its not like every player is changed every time - I dont see the issue to be honest

With the likes of Carling Cup games, FA Cup as well as CL and EPL games - its a surprise when all the same players do play two consecutive games

(also considering the score - it looks like he got the selection about right)

I don't think he ever did, he scored 2 goals in quick succession which got him the label of cool / composed yet before that and after it he never really looked like being a big player. I'm not sure he's any worse than he was before.

I never said he didn't, I'm just surprised it's been that many!

Excellent first half, Rooney and Valencia in particular for me. Park seems to be playing a lot better than usual as well, glad to see Rafael score :)

Watching him as a neutral I thought he was a quality player, then again I didn't get to see him every game so I probably didn't see any of his weaknesses. But from what I did see he seemed to score every other game or at least play a part in a goal. He hasn't looked anything like that player since returning from injury and I fear it's more psychological and a lack of confidence than anything.
