Brazilian Grand Prix 2011, Interlagos Circuit - Race 19/19

I think they said earlier in the program they would have KERS next season.

Of course it's not a total quick fix they've got to fit it in the car and get it working reliably being 1/2 years behind on the development of it.

It's not all about race wins. He's the perfect ambassador for the sport, far better than MSc for instance.

Being enthusiastic about a sport doesn't mean that it's right for that driver to get an F1 seat, considering that there are only 24 seats available, in any one season.

In 20 years, just like Ricardo Patrese before (who was a previous record holder for F1 starts), how many people will remember Barrichello? How many people on this forum know how Patrese is?

To even compare Barrichello with MSc (the greatest F1 driver of all time), is a little strange.

But anyway, we all have our opinions...and we shall have to agree to disagree, on this one. ;)

Not that thrilled by the win

Considering he won because either Vettels car was broken, or made to seem broken, it wasn't a great victory. Couldn't help but laugh at the BBC team making out like Webber had made a comeback - shocking performance this year in a very strong car.

That race really needed some rain.

Hope the racing is closer at the front next year.

Only thats not the case either... Young drivers aren't being given a chance to show what they can do unless they can buy their way in.

Right, but if Barrichello takes up one of the 24 seats, that's one less seat available, for a young driver to compete to occupy.

And with regards to buying their way into F1: this has always been the case and is nothing new. In the past, the drivers who have entered F1 have always been (reasonably) well off and brought sponsors along with them. Motor racing is not a poor mans game. Hamilton was the exception.

bbc stream has been really **** today

Yep.

I might have bad memory. But over the last few years driver signings have got later and later and later.
If that is the case and not my senility, why? Finances and teams wanting young drivers, lack of testing so they can't compare drivers. To many good young drivers to choose from.

I don't think I said anything about him getting a seat next season.

I said he is a fantastic bloke who embodies the sport and is a fantastic ambassador.

He said in his longer interview before the race that whether he's driving or not next year, he's not going to disappear from F1.

I compared Barichello with Schumacher because you brought race wins into it. Schumacher has won more WDC than anyone else but he's a **** who's had a personality-ectomy.

Clearly you can't see past race-wins so you're right; agree to disagree.

I can argue with that, I much proffered it when equipment was pushed beyond its limits and we had a 1/3less cars at the end of most races.
Reliability just shows they aren't pushing engineering enough, due to spill restrictions.

If it is £10 a month, do you mean just for the F1 HD channel, but I'd still have to pay an extra basic sub of £20 to £30 a month on top for having a basic sky package? Do they give you and fit a dish for free?

Rumours are £10 for the f1 channel on free view top up. Not sure if HD.

Also f1 hd channel if you have sky package with he channels (don't need sports/movies) so can go on their site and see how much that would be. Seems to be £30.25 a month

So how much would I need to spend just to get Sky and F1 HD? I have freeview HD at the moment, I don't have any satellite subscription or dish.

I think you are looking at £30.25 (£20 for the basic + £10.25 for the HD sub) with a free Sky+ HD box and installation, plus £100 in M&S vouchers if you order in the next couple of days.

I'm pretty sure the £10 Freeview rumour was rubbish made up by the Daily Fail.
