Brazilian Grand Prix 2011, Interlagos Circuit - Race 19/19

I was watching the race earlier on iplayer when it cut out. When I reloaded it said the programme was no longer available and now there only seems to be qualifying? No sure why the race was put on there and then taken off again.

I don't know, it's taking a lifetime. I have a feeling all the BBC people have gone home seeing as the coverage didn't finish until after 6pm on a Sunday.

So, yet another 1-2 by RBR.
Ever since the mid season break, RBR have just been nigh on unbeatable.

Fingers crossed that other teams can close the gap on RBR, otherwise, 2012 will be another Vettel/RBR benefit.

The last time we saw this sort of domination, was when Ferrari dominated from 2000-2004. That lasted 5 years. Could it be that we are in the midst of a 5 year domination? If so, we have another 3 years of Vettel winning the titles, to go. Imagine if Vettel does win the next 3 titles. That'll be 5 titles in a row...

Anyway, back to reality...

I think Jake mentioned early on Sunday that JB had a chance of outscoring SV for the 2nd half of the season - to make it to the last race of the season with a chance of that kind of stat is pretty decent, even if it counts for nothing in the long run

Just finished watching the forum on bbc iplayer cuts off when Jenson is talking, Nothing extra :/

Nope :(

Lame.

So much for this little extra added on eh?

I suspect that the iPlayer stream is recorded in the UK, and hence was processing as soon as the show was supposed to stop and hence no addition of stuff.

I guess the proper one will be uploaded when the team get back to the UK/to the BBC F1 website.

Although not the greatest race was chuffed with the result.

Didn't realise at the time Button overtaking Alonso gave Webber third in the Championship too... i'm not sure so many people would have predicted that top 5 at the start of the year, Hamilton in Fifth!

Another solid consistant drive from Button, massive respect to the guy. Nice of Redbull to engineer the win for Webber.

For the conspiracy theorists out there: was there something genuinely wrong with Vettel's car or was it a ploy to get Webber a win and a high championship position?

Who knows? Other drivers had gearbox problems and they finished as well but Hamilton didn't.

It does look convenient though.

I assume that Red Bull also somehow slowed down Alonso to let Button past him?

Team orders are allowed in F1 now, there was no reason for Red Bull to hide any plans to get Webber in front behind some faux gearbox issue. They would have just told Seb to move over.

Granted but it doesnt look good in the public eye if he wins just because Seb moves over.

If they create an aura of a false gearbox issue, then it gives Mark's win more..whats the word, prestige?

If you catch my drift.
