Brazilian Grand Prix 2012, São Paulo - Race 20/20

Anyone watching the Drivers Press conference? Questions went to the floor and a reporter starting talking about a statement in the German newspaper Bild with Bernie Ecclestone about the FIA and how they put pressure on him with 'muscle' and then the programme immediately cut away. A very strange statement the guy was making and coincidence it wasn't completed and FOM cut the broadcast. To be honest, the question/statement was a bit peculiar and didn't make sense...

They have ended the broadcast now and cut to an apology about 'bad language' which there wasn't. Anyone else pick up on this?
Just watching it now, think I got to the bit. The guy waffled on but was think was asking how much the drivers are controlled by the teams and FIA in terms of what they can say and do etc. Vettel swore which is why it probably got cut. In the video above of it, it just muted the sweary.

Ahhh I see. Will have to watch it back. Cheers.

Even if Vettel has a bad race and scores low, I don't think Alonso has the car to win the race :(
He does if it rains, which is looking likely. The only problem is if the race is cut short for bad weather and only half points are given as then Vettels lead would be unreachable.

Surely Ferrari's only hope is to gamble on a wet race and just totally set the car up for the wet to the detriment of their qualifying (assuming qualy is dry).

But they have nothing to lose at this point. They can't just trundle along behind Vettel and hope for a retirement. They need to take a gamble and be ready to seize any opportunity that they can use.

Having spent 99% of the season watching Sky the BBC coverage annoys me. Crofty and Ted > all.

Watching the Sky coverage on Sunday, my brother and i were shouting and MB and DC when they made continuos mistakes, it was just appalling. Ted Vs Gary for pit lane guys, Gary wins every time.

Ted confirmed that it was a bearing in the Magneti Marelli built Renault alternators that was failing. They have redesigned the bearing but RBR didn't trust it enough to fit it in Austin, so used a 2012 spec alternator with the older bearing and it failed. So now in Brazil both cars will be using the 2012 spec alternator with the new bearing.
