This is just the hearing to decide whether there's a hearing though, yes? If they decide there is to be a hearing that hearing will be later on.

I was thinking the same. What's the betting this is not resolved before this weekend's race deliberately to try to let it fade away as other issues from this weekend come in to play. It's all starting to feel like the Ferrari of old.

Verstappen has 2 offences in 1 corner there. Forcing another driver off the track and leaving the track and gaining an advantage.

5s penalty for each would be appropriate, it's not gonna happen, but it would be appropriate. I suspect they'll look, go 'yeah, was a bit naughty. Have a reprimand' and that's it.

Yeah. I don't like the decision the stewards made, but like a dodgy penalty call in football I think it should just be left at what it was. Post-facto decision making cheapens the results on the day.

Football does have post match reviews on red cards, or potential red cards, I think its very unlikely at this point the result for the race gets changed, if anything is dished out to Max it will be a grid penalty I think.

The problem is that this needs challenging as Max has been getting away with murder.

Football does, but it doesn't effect the result. I'd be happy for part-race reprimand but changing the result sucks.

I think the FIA have to be very careful, as this sets a massive precedent.

No action, its game on for all drivers to run another off the track. This culture then influences and descends to the lower Formula's... Anyone watching the BTCC, this years Silverstone Club BTCC weekend it was almost comical - running each other off the road and taking each other out...

Alonso has been testing the water of what is acceptable for turn 1. Whilst we all want a 'show'; someone will get hurt - Grosjean was a warning that despite all the safety features, his car still penetrated the barrier - the cars are massive, heavy etc.

Not forgetting, Jeff Krosnoff, Gilles Villeneuve and Mark Webber's launch.

This, the good old days of the FIA dragging things out etc and protecting Ferrari back in the Schumacher days.
Sad times.

There must be plenty of times when results have been changed because of a post race penalty, we need to see what happens this time. Sometimes Massi just doesn't seem up to the job, he can't get decisions right that have political connotations.
Usually anyone who can cops out at this stage and passes the buck.

Sometimes Massi just doesn't seem up to the job,
I haven't heard enough from him to know if when he's talking to Horner (and other bosses to be fair), if he's just being overly polite (slightly sarcastic it sounds like to me!) or is actually ****scared of him?

This popped up for me on youtube.

It is really noticeable how careful Hamilton is around Verstappen. In Hungary he deliberately leave a massive gap between him and Verstappen.
