Max showing his true character once more. A stupid overtake attempt, the “you move or we crash” special, and disobeying team orders at the end. To Perez of all people, who helped him win the championship last year, arguably the reason he won it as Hamilton having the pit gap would have made everything moot.

Of course Max is the golden boy though so I expect nothing will come of this and it’ll be another Multi21-esque blow over.

Really feel for Perez guy is such a team player that wouldn't have meant much to max to give that place already won the championship

I'm glad I watched that race, definitely one of the better races I've watched in recent years. Lots of passing, lots of action. Just a generally entertaining race.
Well chuffed for George, such a deserved result!
Happy to see Merc back as a genuine contender.
Amazing race for Alonso!
Max again showing again how not to be a sporting role-model. Both him and the RBR are so toxic!
Wouldnt say its an all time great race but for me one of the better ones in recent years. Certainly one of the few that have held my attention for the entire race in the last few years.

Verstappen pit radio - Max. Let Checo through please.

Pit - Max. What happened?

Verstappen - I told you already last summer. You guys don't ask that again to me. Ok? Are we clear about that? I gave my reasons, and I stand by it.

That confirms he had enough time

Are you trying to defend max he wasn't told in advance enough time ?

No, I am saying he was not originally told he was being let through. Horner spoke to him and told him to go take points off Alonso and Leclerc.

I strongly suspect if Max was offered the option of being let through but to give up afterwards he would have said no and would have overtaken him on pace. He clearly isn't happy with Perez.

Also Perez defended, so this whole situation was after Max had already overtaken Perez.

The only radio (broadcast) telling Max of this arrangement was towards the end of the race.

Apart from that is absolute rubbish.

Lewis had experimental parts, and setups, over 80% of which were worse than the parts and/or setups that were on before the changes.

But that is how they find out what works and what doesn't.

Without all that work, the car would be no where near where it is currently.

So George only has the team and Lewis to thank for the win today.

As others have said, Lewis would most likely have won today, without the damage gained after collision with Max.

Max has been given two penalty points on his licence for the collision with Lewis.

I think its harsh the penalty. However, when I look at more replays, Max bounced off the kerb a bit, without which he could have turned with space.

So I can see perhaps why the stewards blamed Max for not taking a tighter line.

Also it kind of looked like Norris's crash, which might have swayed things.

Can't remember the interview but I remember as Russell was the new guy and lewis being more experienced, Lewis was doing more of the experiments which makes sense and practice 3 he used to revert back

Nah I think Max opened the steering and the stewards saw it.

Penalty points well deserved and well overdue in general. Max is the type that will not yeild to anything. Other drivers out there today have show how to race properly by using the brake pedal to stay out of trouble. If you're quicker than the guy in front then just wait for the next opportunity.

Max in being massive **** shocker, more on this breaking news story shortly

Can only hope he has a personality change when he eventually leaves RB like Seb did but fear his old man has enabled his behaviour up to now he’s not likely to change.

It's obviously a press ring and things are a bit calmer and thought through but Lewis showing a lot of class by not saying 'yes' when asked if he thought he could have won today.
He's happy to let George have his moment and not tarnish it at all, when you know inside he probably thinks he could have won that without the collision.
