Can't remember the interview but I remember as Russell was the new guy and lewis being more experienced, Lewis was doing more of the experiments which makes sense and practice 3 he used to revert back
Team and Lewis have stated many times, experimental parts and setups were used in races as well, as practice sessions and qualifying.

Cannot know how a setup wil work in a race, without running it trough a full race.

The Stewards reviewed the video from several angles, including In Car Cameras, CCTV and broadcast video.

The Stewards determined that Verstappen attempted to pass Hamilton on the outside of turn 1 by braking very late. He did not complete the pass in Turn 1 and his excess speed compromised his entry into turn 2, at which point he made contact with Hamilton. While the Stewards recognize that Hamilton could possibly have given a little more room at the apex of turn 2, the Stewards determined that Verstappen was predominantly at fault.

Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Chapter 4 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits.

If only they applied this logic last season. That’s how max has driven for ages. It’s always been the same way that the pricks on the road who don’t crash drive. They don’t crash because other people compensate for them. When they don’t there is a crash.

"I saw he had no intention to give me space and I had no intention to back out"

Says a lot about his 'I'm coming, give me room or we crash' approach.

Is that a surprise?

He did the same and said the same in Italy last year.

He hates Hamilton and always gets digs in when he can this year. I think he is really annoyed that people don't respect his championship from last year.

And now Max admitting he knew that he and Lewis were going to come together. If he knew that, surely he should have backed out.

I’m sorry, I’ve tried to be nice about him this weekend but this just takes the biscuit. How anyone can defend his driving style just amazes me.
So that's a deliberate action to crash into another driver then?

Wonder if the FIA should take a look at that. Cos, the when that's happened before there was an interesting result. Someone should ask Villeneuve his opinion... ;)

Can't agree more with the stewards on that one. Ham could have left more space, but it was Verstappen's problem to deal with.
Yep, end of the day its up to the person making the overtake to do so in a safe manner.
Sadly in Max's case, as @fez says, his driving style and attitude has been "enabled" by years of lenience and "let them race". I think they are beyond the point of correcting this though and its something thats always going to cause issue as long as he drives due to his stubbornness and righteous attitude to road position. Its almost like he feels like he is entitled to place his car where ever he wants with impunity.

He probably doesn't care but he doesn't help himself how he comes across which probably fuels it more

Doesn't help Redbull image either but they probably let it pass as long he keeps winning
