Breaking a padlock :D

i doubt u will be able to drill or angle grind that lock, it looks pretty serious and u would need some specialist drill bits or cutting discs to get through that. best way as previously mention would be to angle grind the vertical bolt the paddlock is attached to as near to the paddlock as possible, so what ever security device it is attached to can be re-used.

If not u need a gun, again this technique always breaks paddlocks. :D

Work experience person and a hacksaw.

Or, dismantle the PC and remove the fixing from inside it.

Or swap the whole desk, PC and all, with someone else's identical one. When nobody is looking.

The receptionists thug of a son must know where to get a gun?
Just shoot it off, Jack Bauer style. Remember to whisper to it first threatening to kill both it and its family unless it tells you what you want to know.

Lookup padlock shims.

I have some that I bought, which are made from hardened metal and work on mosts locks I have tried.

I have heard of people making them from drink cans but I think the metal would be too soft - worth a go.

Several, equally unhelpful options:
1.Wait a couple of hundred years until either any corrodible bits of it corrode away, or the computer becomes so obsolete nobody cares anymore.
2.Quickly persuade the boss to move to a different office, and accidentally leave the locked stuff behind
Throw it into a canal
3.Pneumatic drill
4.Break whatever it's attached to so you can throw it all away.
5.Steal a plasma cutter from your local school DT department.
