Right, so honestly: we're not watching it legally. I think we can pretty much admit that straight off the bat. However, I very much doubt we're the only people in this forum talking about stuff we've downloaded.

The thing is, the two reasons that are always given about closing threads discussing current US TV shows are that (a) it leads to people linking to bad places, and (b) it spoils it for people wanting to watch it over here.

Given that this thread has been going for months now without (a) occurring, I'd like to think we've done quite well in that regard. And in terms of (b), they haven't even shown the third season over here yet, so quite when they'll bother catching up, no-one knows.

I can understand the need for rules, but closing this thread would be a real shame. I don't want to have to wait two years (or however long it takes to eventually get shown in the UK) to talk about Breaking Bad, because by then I won't be watching it any more.

EDIT: DAMN YOU. Must not look.

It pretty much sets up season 5 perfectly.

Everyone is freaking out at how awesome the last episode was. I read a good few tv forums and there is so much buzz right now about this episode.

Probably a repost but whatever, its funny. :D

I don't find these things funny because adding canned sound effects to something does not change the markers of the show. There are no comedy markers or whatever, so I just can't relate to it. Maybe that's cause I spent last semester in uni studying sitcom, I dunno, but I just think these things are rubbish. I literally cannot read the show as anything other than a drama.

I hope this thread doesn't get locked! :(

I love talking about the show with OcUK folks. It's always and forever will be stupid that the UK doesn't get TV shows at the same time as America.

I have weekly webchats with my bro who's in NJ. Coincidentally these webchats seem to occur when Breaking Bad airs and his webcam won't work unless it's pointed to his TV. Bit of a nuisance to be honest.

Thanks for that, ****.

Whilst the thread remains open I'd just like people to watch that last speech by Gus again "Or fight me and die!". How powerful was that?

Btw I actually work on the BB set. Chief tea maker.

@Maccy, just remember that while a portion of the posters here will be certainly watching it illegally, we do have several forum members who genuinely live in the states, and there are many ways to get American tv shows online legally by paying for them (eg. a lot of shows put episodes up on iTunes a day after broadcast, anyone with a US credit card could rent them just fine). As long as you're paying for something, bypassing region restrictions in a roundabout way is not against any laws. It might be against somebody's licence agreement but none of those have ever been successfully enforced in court.

If you stop the people who are genuinely entitled to watch this show from discussing it because there's a few others who aren't, then you're setting a dangerous precedent, because let's face it: you have no idea if everyone posting in a thread about Dr. Who has paid their licence fee. Or if everyone who posted in the Game of Thrones thread really has a Sky Atlantic subscription. You want to have to go round and do that kind of policing? Just accept the fact that this is an international forum with members from all over the place and be done with this silliness.

Thanks easyrider.

Can only echo wants been posted already , would be a great shame to lock this thread since its full of good intelligent discussion about a show which helps me along as I don't tend to read to deep into shows :o

So thanks to you all for helping me "see" the deeper story line ....

Although I believe he never pointed the gun at Jessie :D

thanks again Easyrider
