It's being reported as Arson - 3 separate fires through-out the Cathedral with the organ being the main "target" it looks like.

Sadly true. In 2018 alone as part of the 1063 recorded "anti-Christian" attacks there were 875 French churches vandalised and this was a similar figure for 2017, 2016 etc. There's been no figure for 2019 given yet but I doubt it's dropped drastically.

The French love to burn stuff, tyres in the street, an effigy of world leaders every once in a while, and the odd Cathedral here and there. It's part of French "culture".

When I was working as an apprentice in Holland, I worked alongside another apprentice who was a bit... morally loose, shall we say.
Over the period of a few months there were recurring articles in the town's newspaper about someone who had been nicking the copper lightning conductors off roofs of buildings, including the town hospital, town hall, and load of others. Then this fellow apprentice suddenly disappeared and nobody knew where to find him until the local paper had a front page article about the copper nicker. There was a photo of his E30 316i and a trailer right next to a church, turns out he was nicking the copper all along. He would use bolt cutters to cut out the 2m lengths between the brackets used to fix it to the roofs, then chuck it down in to the trailer, until one day he fell off the church's roof, in to his trailer and impaled himself on a piece of copper. He survived with rather severe injuries and was jailed for a few years.
Seems that God didn't tolerate his shenanigans
