My friend had me looking at destruction of heritage sites in Syria etc. The loss of ancient buildings through war and scum like ISIS makes this fire seem like a drop in the ocean.
(not saying the fire isn't horrendous though.)

Just a matter of hours until the outer walls collapse now. Access to the frame to extinguish the fire is blocked by the walls themselves
