don't.

So it's one scope, and a couple of pistols and 2 silencers, I don't see the fuss, I highly doubt they'll be significantly/at all stronger than other options, they are just different, maybe I have too much faith in them, but then I am one of the people who enjoyed ET:QW

So make the exclusive guns so under powered they're never used?

or make server settings so they can be banned/disabled?

They have a pretty comprehensive server thingy so they probably can be banned, and yes they are just reorder incentives they probably will be weak as hell, I'm sure the devs are more fussed about balance.

Absolutely! These are the only two options available to a developer or the community when gamebreaking or overpowered items get into a game.

In the past they've tried fine tuning, tweaking functionality, offset a pro with a con, aiming for actual balance, but it's never worked. Best to go for a scorched earth policy!

If these damned capitalist businesses would only stop giving incentives, we wouldn't be having this debate!

I can smell your decadence, Splash Damage!!

ps It is looking like a great game.

This game has got me interested recently, i always enjoyed Quake Wars and do like what Splash Damage make. The dedicated server options look really good too.

I was thinking that the weapons would be unlocked early, like EA did with BFBC2. To make a game fair for those without pre-orders i bet you can unlock the weapons later once you have enough currency or a certain level (however you get new weapons/skins etc).

Anyway i'll be picking it up on release.

Having a look around you can get it for just shy of £22. Surely it's worth a risk. I can't remember how relaxed the "competitor" rules got, so I wont bother but if you go through the usual big e-tailers, you'll find it.

Well as they're only available to people who pay for them yeah they need to be underpowered or banned or they'll cause rage.

Will probably get this, at the very least I will play through the campaign coop with my brother :)

The campaign, co-op and multiplayer are "seamless", from what I gather, so you could do a bit of them all if you fancied.

I'm talked myself into a preorder.
