There's ugly women and beautiful women, and that goes for every country.I thought the word chav was no longer used. It makes the person using it sound a bit daft. However, scum are present almost everywhere. Its unavoidable. I wouldn't say we have any more than the average.

I have a very strong accent. I don't think many people have trouble understanding me, if anyone at all does.

Same here, seems like a lot of people are taking offence to someone who is just putting across their opinion of the UK. Hell might as well throw me in there as well as i absolutely detest what this country has turned into. Btw Cali is a lovely place, much much better than dull grey uk...although past few days here have been kinda nice-ish.
15yrs ago i moved here from Canada and i actually did fall in love with this country but now im fed up of it and all the problems that seem to be a norm here. Only reason why im here is purely for financial reasons as the pound is quite strong against the Canadian dollar...so most of money gets transferred to my canadian bank account...where i have a pretty healthy nest egg sitting here
.EDIT: Saying all though, Uk still has its advantages...for me its purely financial and im sure theres a few other adv's to being here...at the mo i cant think of any

Go and search for the proud to be British thread if you want to see the good points. Britain is what you make of it. If you're resigned to it being so bad, then it will be. Why not move to a nice area.
I don't take it that seriously anyway, i'm not the one posting a rant about the state of the country. I'm perfectly happy with my life. Nothing about the UK has every hindered my progress.
I quite like England, thanks. I'm going to go and take the roof off my sports car, paid for by my good job and our strong currency, fill it up with readily available fuel and drive off in to the green countryside, maybe stopping at a hostelry for a free glass of fresh, clean water before returning home for some good food and a spot of football on the television.

Sure, NH is not as expensive as London, but it's most definately getting more difficult to buy a nice place for reasonable money.
Also, try getting an apartment in NYC for $300,000 US and see how far you get.

I prefer to call the scum, pond life these days, they look like fish when they are trying to figure out what they can steal, make a game of it, I got a bus that passed through a 'bad' town at night, they all come out, mouths open staring at the bus, you can tell they are thinking, 'howz can i fits that in me pocket'
But anyway, its always what you make of it, every built up area in the world has its share of scum, nothing you can do about it, just move somewhere else where the scum are not so much of a problem.
